He is absolutely marvelous as a pig too. When they first introduced the character all I could think was, "well we've seen this type a hundred times before." But once he became a pig, it was a stroke of brilliance.

The Mandalorian is the Star Wars western that I needed.  I really enjoyed the first episode and and the lead is really fun.

I finished Raising Dion on Netflix, it's pretty good. About a kid with superpowers. It's good that it's both lighthearted and dramatic and never veers too far one way or the other. Watching The Order, that's pretty decently entertaining though not brilliant. I'm hoping it gets a better story thread.

Watched El Camino awhile ago and it was ok. Started rewatching Breaking Bad and this show is still just so damn good.

I'm halfway through season 3 of Limmy's Show on Netflix. I think the first season is no longer on Netflix, but it's all on YouTube, anyway. Now he's a Twitch streamer. Uneasy

It's shockingly good. I haven't really cared too much about Star Wars for 20 years or so, but this show pretty much grabbed me within the first 15 minutes.

I spent my weekend exploring the Disney+ catalog. I watched The Black Hole (1979), 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954), and Journey to the Center of the Earth (1959). I haven't seen these since I was a little kid; all are still quite enjoyable. 👍

It was great. I really hope whatever kept Eddie away from Hollywood is over and he feels comfortable being back. He has been missed.

Anyone else watching The Witcher? As someone who never played the game and has nothing to measure the show against, I'm loving it thus far. The writing is a little bland at times, but it gets the job done and the way they're telling the story is outstanding.

I've watched the opening 20 minutes. So far it's all very gruff and, as you say, blandly written. I'll stick with it for a few episodes to see if it grows on me.

I didn't see it yet but I plan to.

Critics are tearing a part and usually that means it's good. Critics are so horrible with their biases and getting bought off that I do the opposite of what the critics think.

Saw the first episode. Wasn't bad at all, will watch more. Also watching V-Wars, fairly average vampire show. I would have given up on it but someone else wants to watch it with me. The Strain or Vampire Diaries is much better.

I would advise sticking with it for more than an episode or two. The first episode was a bit weak, but it definitely improves. I'm five episodes in now and while I haven't exactly been blown away I've really started to enjoy it. Particularly once you realize how they're telling the story.

I'm rewatching the Goldbergs on Hulu.

I also borrowed my sister's Disney+ account so I will start watching Mandalorian soon.

Mandalorian was incredible!!!!!!! Everything I could have hoped for in a star wars show. Better than TROS, proper storytelling with characters that get space to grow. What a finale, great tie into the cartoons, we are in for some great stuff.
