Playing DmC now. Quite a good game just not as good as the previous ones, with the exception of Devil May Cry 2 I guess. It's very good mechanically and is an interesting twist on the story but it just lacks some of the artistic flair of the previous games.

Do you notice much difference graphically when playing these PS3 games updated for the PS4?  They already look really good to me on the PS3.

Well I'm playing on the Xbox One so unfortunately there's no difference at all, perhaps even a bit of a downgrade. Nyaa

But seriously though they are a bit sharper and a bit cleaner.

Was pleasantly surprised that Ninja Theory's usual trashness in melee combat (Heavenly Sword is at best aight mechanically, and Enslaved is a dull piece of shit) didn't become an issue in glorious Devil May Cry, albeit it was still missing way too many shit (shit from my understanding found their way in the definitive edition, albeit not all the glory), but man their attempts at variation in that game bug me to no end. The forced platforming segments are all such a bore, they aren't particularly interesting mecahnically, and all they are there for is "look at how wacky our back grounds look, we can be crazy too, we DMC" and they live in a world where Platinum Games exists, so no dice. The level design was mostly bland outside of the disco ball level, the newsroom level would be dope if it weren't for the platforming side of things, and the bosses frankly stunk. Beyond just being push overs, none of them were particularly interesting to fight, sans the final boss, and that style of boss fight is kind of tough to fuck up.

It's a much better game than some of the fanbase thinks, but it's definitely a Ninja Theory game. A bit all over the place in terms of quality, which in a weird way is right at home for Devil May Cry.

Yeah the disco level was pretty cool. I also thought the Bob Barkas boss fight was cool too.

I am about to continue playing Shadow of Mordor, which I started sometime last year. I don't really feel like playing video games much any more, it seems.

Potentially, could also be because the game isn't all that goood. Because outside of the Nemesis System being a cool upgrade over the deck of 52 from mercenaries, it's a pretty dull open world game for anything other than fucking around with the nemesis system.

I was playing Trauma Team... but not anymore. Holy shit my hand tremor has gotten really bad. Any of the fine motor skill levels like the surgery one are right the fuck out. I can't keep the Wiimote still enough to do anything right. I'm either going to need to move the screen closer to where I sit, start taking my medication, or drink a lot more which according to my doctor has the same effect as my medication.

That game is a pain in the ass in general for a lot of that stuff, would imagine it's super frustrating if you have tremors.

I didn't play much this weekend.  And haven't started anything new.  I worked on some more of the challenges and on getting more of the upgrade items etc on Guacamelee.  Haven't decided what to play next.

Hopefully my PS4 games will come in the mail tomorrow so I have reason to set it up.  Can't wait to play Dark Souls II and Bloodborne.

I've been jumping around amongst a variety of games lately and right now Forza 6 and Dark Souls II have kind of stuck. Hardly played any DSII when I first got it but now I'm right into it. Also I'd like to at least play through it once before Dark Souls III comes out.

X-Com Enemy Unknown, with the Enemy Within add on, Ironman mode, on classic. I kept having to do my entire playthroughs over because of panic getting out of hand, and anyone that has played the game knows the mission in the fishing town is bullshit. Well I built my entire crew to handle this one mission, run the distance, get in and out. Got Idris Elba in a mech suit, and had him activate the marker then run like hell solo. Felt so good when I got the whole crew out, but not gonna lie I was ready to leave him behind.

PC Version (Enemy Within): In the 5th area, sometimes the Muton Elites do not appear after the Sectopods are killed. This makes it impossible to enter the final area and finish the game. Restarting the game and/or reloading to a point before the Sectopods does not solve the problem.

FUCK EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*sigh* got it to work, fucking Firaxis.

I'm nearing the end of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD etc. and I've just started Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines... again. This time I'm actually getting past the tutorial. Time for a vampire month in preparation for Shadows over Innistrad.

Have been playing a bit of Mario & Luigi 4.  It's got a bit better but still just very by numbers M&L.  Still want to finish it though.

I started playing The Division with Wasdie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yTmAkAZ1qk

So far 3 hours in, it gives me Destiny vibes, albeit it does a few things significantly better than vanilla Destiny. The problem is Destiny at its best is a bad video game, and The Division hasn't exactly impressed. Other than the fact that it lets me shoot birds I guess.

So after playing Mario and Luigi for weeks trying to finish it in order to be able to play something else, I am now stuck trying to decide what that should be.  So spoiled for choice Sad

I don't think I could do another marathon game on the trot so that rules out quite a lot of options.  I want something short and sweet.  Thinking about Splatoon single player, but I'm not sure I want to do that.  Maybe something off the ole backlog pile.
