Game arrived. With squid amiibo. Out of my three amiibos this is easily the shittiest.
Starting this game seems very daunting to me. Almost as daunting as starting Xenoblade X.
I've developed some kind of phobia of videogames recently. I really feel like an old man. I miss the days when you didn't have to read manuals and strategy guides before playing a game.
I guess this is now easily the game with the highest attach ratio on the VGP, perhaps rivaled only by SmashU

Well, I ended up joining just as GG was leaving. Played 2 very rusty matches against Travo. Then he left as well. Played one more match after that in which I totally destroyed the other team. 2nd highest scorer and 12 kills with NO deaths at all. Of course, no one was still around to witness this high point. 
I was having issues with the kids where i would have to leave the game. Maybe I'll play tonight so if the other Americans would like to join...
Good games. Travo did u keep ducking out to change weapons? If so, practice it, you can do it quickly enough to rejoin the same group.
