This game is amazin, the combat is so improved!
Leo do you want to be in the ps4 text chat? A bunch of us from RoF are there, it's just nice to have to comment or ask for help if needed.

Awww what's the matter, bought the wrong system. Go drown your sorrows in Mountain Dew.

Don't foget the Doritos.
This game is just amazing! I cannot stress enough how much better the combat feels, it’s changed the way I approach combat entirely. Health is not a rarity, you find it all over, this encourages you to be more aggressive. the best battles are against enemies that are just like you, they play out like a souls equivalent of Dante vs Vergil. There is a ton of dodging, quick attacks, stuns, combos, it’s so intense. I can’t even imagine what PvP is like.
the level design is top notch as expected. The only negatives is that this just so happens to be the fourth game so the secrets are not as secret, the surprises are not as surprising, we sort of know the drill by now. Also I miss the diversity and fantasy like setting of dark souls, so I would still put DS ahead in terms of environments.
I freakin' LOVE the Threaded Cane!! One of the best weapons I've seen in a game in a loooooong time!
I have to wait something like a week before I receive the game. At least I saved $22.

I can't seem to do well with it. Help me.

It is far more unique than DS1 to DS2 was. I am just saying if you played all the games you kind of get how everything works. Like I saw this long bridge and I noticed a boulder at the end, I know it i as trap. I see secret items I know I need to break stuff, find a lath and drop from above. It's like being an expert at zelda dungeons, you just know how the game works.
The combat is much improved, that is important to me. They also simplified a ton of the stats, it's much less RPG like and more action game like, I love that. There are no shields, no magic, no weight penalty, everyone moves the same way, your skill is more important than ever.

Oh, I'm not good with it either; trust me! I just love the look/idea of it! It's the gentleman's slaughter device. You can use it as a cane at a fancy party, then "TAP!" it's an ASS-KICKING, metal-death-whip!
I'm pretty horrible at the game so far. I can barely get past the first area with the bonfire, then I'll either get killed by the wolves or the big guy pounding on the gate opposite the bonfire area...
I went to buy the Armor/Equipment stuff in the Hunter's Dream, the first thing I did was look to see how much it would affect my "Encumbrance" stat as was my habit in the Souls games... I was confused when I didn't see it, then I got PSYCHED!
I'll be sure to ask questions if I get really stuck, but I don't think I am going to participate in the chat you guys have going. It kinda kills the ambience when you are sneaking up on an enemy and you suddenly have...
"YOU HAVE RECEIVED A MESSAGE FROM CRAKE!"
"YOU HAVE RECEIVED A MESSAGE FROM THE NEGATIVE DUDE!"
"YOU HAVE RECEIVED A MESSAGE FROM DVADER654!"
...flash on the screen.

Lol I know but give me something to do as I wait 10 minutes while it loads.

I meant that one of the unique things about DS is that the combat is slow and defensive. There are lots of games with fast, aggressive combat. Still sounds great, though.
It's just so satisfying getting past a hard section, finding that shortcut to skip the things you've already seen, allowing you to get back to the good stuff upon re-entering the area...
I got past the Bonfire, past the big guy pounding on the gate, past the crows, past the guys patrolling with the... dogs, past the big... wolves and opened the gate where you enter from the Hunter's Rest...
I know it's just the start, but progress is progress ESPECIALLY when you tend to hold your breath the entire time you are walking around an area for the first time...
Just Fortified my KICK-ASS Cane/Whip and am looking forward to jumping back in...
It's a shame I need to travel to the Capital again tomorrow. I'm going to miss the short time I've had with the game so far!
I'm going to hold off on this until Thursday night because I have Thurs and Friday off. But at that time, I will be going balls deep into this hooker.
BALLS. FUCKING. DEEP.
