I'm on World 4 now, and OMG does this game goes get better the more you play! Vader is right. I switched from primarily playing as Mario to Peach now. She's a lot of fun, and brings back some of that SMB2 magic. I don't know if this will be a Galaxy killer for me, but I'm very happy I changed my mind and bought it.

There is a Mario Kart themed level in World 3, that I played over and over again just for fun.Happy

I'm on world 5 now, and I'm already prepared to say this is one of the top 3 Mario games I've ever played. It doesn't have that cohesive feel that all the worlds of Galaxy offered, but right now I'm having more fun with these levels than I've had with a Mario game in years.  Oh and that dinosaur thingie guy that you ride on rapids?? Holy crap that's fun. And its even better with multiple players. With 1 player he's a pain, but with 2 he's much easier to guide. I wonder how much better he is with 3. Guess I'll find out this week.

This is a game I'd consider playing online to try out the mulitplayer with you guys, but, of course, it doesn't have online. Sad

Almost to world 7, not Galaxy level and that is fine. Its Mario 64 level for me, its fantastic. It passes Rayman as the best platformer of the year. There is new stuff almost every level, I'm like 6 hours in and still being surprised. As insanly imaginative as it is it just doesn't have that magic Galaxy had, I dont know if it was the bigger more open levels or the use of gravity but Galaxy is simply better.

Is it my GOTY yet, ehhh not yet but I figure I still have a long way to go so if all the later stuff is excellent it could be.

And done! Well, the main game anyway. I've finished it. The Bowser battle was epically cool. And now I've unlocked Luigi Bros. (which got old after 3 minutes), and the other post game content... which you probably know about, but just in case I won't be spoiling it. At any rate I don't remember the last time I tore through a game like this. Without question best game on the Wii U, and probably my GOTY.

The Rainbow Road levels are very strange. The first three were among the hardest levels I've played in a 3-D Mario game. After that they were much easier. Very creative mind you. The 4th level in particular is absolutely brilliant. But I went from dying 20 plus times to only dying one or two times at most.

I'm picking this up tomorrow.  If I want to do mp, do I need the Pro controller or will the Wii remote suffice?

It literally supports --EVERY-- kind of controller, including the Classic Controller. Pad, Wii-Mote, Wii-Mote and Nunchuk, Pro Controller, Classic Controller... EVERYTHING!

What a final Bowser fight!!! Awesome way to end it. The star road levels seem awesome, the first one has the greatest easter egg in Mario history.

So far I think the game is great but the levels were too short and it was so random it never felt like a cohesive game, it doesnt have that magic that Galaxy has. If I were to rank the 3D Marios I would put this game only ahead of Sunshine.

Nope, doesnt seem like it. Star road opens and thats about it. You can do time trails...

Ok they say there is more, I guess I will see how to unlock it.

There is an additional round of levels after star road. I'm working on them now.
