Bronco is the best power in the game, how do you not use it?

I've found Possession most useful to my play style, Lightning for when I want to stun certain enemies, Devil's Kiss for gun turrets and now that it's fully leveled up crowds, and Murder of Crows fully leveled for crowds as well. I need to try using Bronco more though I just didn't think it'd fit in that well for me.

I'm gonna point out the highlights of this game, what makes it special to me.

- The atmosphere/ setting.  I love that Ken Levine and 2K did a complete 180 here.  It would have been too easy to stick with Rapture,  but Columbia is so refreshing to see.  Everything just looks do perfect, so picturesque.  Its someplace you want to live in. Then the curtain is slowly pulled back and what is revealed is just astounding.

- The combat.  Sure, I knocked it for not having traditional FPS controls, but it is a hell of a lot of fun.  The game opens up, allows you to cover, allows you to use different vantage points and the use of rails is the best in any game.  You do have a lot of freedom there to fight (mostly) how you please.  It is so gratifying to use vigors, especially with combos.

-The narrative/story.  I'm so pleased with the fact that I'm about 3/4 of the way through with this and I still have no clue how it will end. I have theories, but nothing concrete.  I love the little touches in the narrative like the nod to Shirley Jackson's " The Lottery," to some of the worst times in American history.  There are some grim scenes, scenes that make you cringe.  But my sense of exacting justice and getting revenge moved me through.  I can't wait to see how this ends.  I have my suspicions, we'll see.

-Finally, there's one scene that truly stands and it's optional.  There's something about the part where I choose to play the guitar and Elizabeth sings along.  It's just a simple scene that puts a smile on my face, that truly makes me think games can be like movies and other art forms.  Music is so integral in Bioshock Infinite.  The music helps to remind you of the simpler time period or even causes intrigue, like hearing Cyndi Lauper and CCR in odd, unexpected places.

im not sure it'll be a GOTY contender, Tomb Raider still holds that distinction.  But I am truly enjoying my trip to Columbia in the clouds.

BOOM HEAD BLOWN

That ending is totally insane. I am not sure I like it as much as Would you kindly simply cause this comes at the very end so its like "HA" THE END, instead of the twist being a driving force in the actual game. But pretty damn amazing ending sequence.

The final battle is sooo good.

Still think the first is better but this is still an excellent game.

SPOILER TIME............................................................................................................

My favorite part of the ending is going to rapture. Totally geeked me out, sad it was for such a quick moment. The comstock thing is a bit weird, for one they cheat with the different voice actor, Also didn't Slate seem to know both Dewitt and Comstock during the battle, maybe it was worded cleverly. Still really cool interdimensional story.

But damn what a condemnation on religion. Man becomes religious so he creates a horrible slave society in the sky and becomes evil. Yikes.

Started 1999 mode, phew its tough. Forces you to play doing the slow crawl. Hide behind objects, set traps, funnel enemies. There needs to be a way for FPS to create a hard mode where you dont have to play like a turtle. I think its more fun when you are running and flying about using your powers on a whim. But I welcome the challenge and it has made me appreciate the gunplay and traps more.

Could you elaborate or do we have to listen to an hour long podcast to find out? Nyaa

Ridiculous stupid ending. Game is kinda pretentious. First one is better in all aspects. Especially story. Still a great game, lots of fun and one you can feel safe spending $60 on as it delievers in the gameplay department.

It's slightly better than the original, though "Would you kindly..." Is a classic.   I'm having so much fun.  I'm almost at the end, on the Comstock's airship.  I'll finish in the morning, unless the wife's water breaks.

Oh damn this close to having a baby. You are in the last section, you have under an hour to go.

Im really tempted to get the season pass but I am afraid they will just have two challenge maps and only one real DLC with a new story.

I know, it's killing me.  I had to head to bed, but I'll start up bright and early in the morning.

I really didn't like that "Would you kindly" nonsense. It pissed me off, actually. LOL

I hope not.  I caved and bought it as well at GameStop.  I got a free guide with it.  One that I haven't even opened up for fear of spoilers.  BTW, I bought the soundtrack off of iTunes today.  Twelve songs for $4.99...not bad.
