You know I really wish I could like this game. I do.  I've tried putting it in a few times, but each time. . . meh.  Just doesn't do it for me.  I think I may have to go ahead and sell it and let some hobo gourmet get their hands on it at a reduced price.

Why dont you like it? Try setting it to easy, if the game is too hard for you.

I'll admit I've had a lot of difficulty with boss fights.  Moreso than I enjoy, particularly in the earlier levels in the game.  But I don't think it's the difficulty so much as it's just one of those times where a game just will not click with me, you know?  I want to like it, and I recognize that it's well done, but after 10 hours of playing I'm still having to force myself to play the game.

Normally I'm a complete dick when someone doesn't like a game that I think is good (see recent comments comparing ASK to a Nazi sympathizer for not liking TWEWY), but this is turning into a very rare occasion where I'm questioning myself for not liking a game.

About 44 hours in...

Got my last Food, Have Completed all but one of the Records, Have found countless number of Paintings, Rescued all but two of the Animals, Have completed the Onii Book.

Just got the Doctor job and the Rainbow Wizard... GAY!  I mean, YAY!

Still only have 50 out of 100 Side-Quests completed, though I do them constantly!

Have run into the Typhoony Bunch a few times now.

I am just about to get the last Piece of the Airship blueprint; Have all the citizens from the defeated Kingdoms now.

I'm having trouble finding the God TV, but I'm sure I'll find it today!

Haven't found many of the Gems or Songs yet, but I'll probably defeat the next Boss and do them after!

Game keeps growing; I keep going!

If you fail on the very last part, you get a similar picture of the King. It's even better.

Got to the last boss(es). Got my Little Kingly ass handed to me. Ugh! ...and it took quite a while to get there too! Those one hit kills are rage inducing!

Loved the surreal events leading up to the final battle. I knew what was coming from the intro sequence, but the revelations of where the characters came from was VERY touching.

Spoiler: Took 35 years for Howser to find the King worthy of conquering the Kingdoms? Yeah, that's just about the time for a Father to start to worrying if HIS son would give him a grandchild or not.

Can't WAIT to see the actual ending!

Spoiler: I sort of saw the ending coming, but I still had my doubts until it actually happened. The best part is how the very last scene ties directly into the intro.

I missed the book on my first run-through, so I went all the way back just to see what was written in it. Now I'm starting work on my own version of a similar story, with people from my own life becoming major characters.

The ending of this game had a tremendous emotional impact on me, unlike any game I have ever previously played.

Spoiler: Based on what is shown in the book and in the credits sequence, these are my assumptions on who these people really are.

Howser is obviously his dead grandfather
Verde is a girl he likes
Liam is a friend of his with whom he recently had a fight (based on his actions in-game- his coming to the rescue at the final battle shows that the boy can forgive him, and still values him as a friend)
Skinny Ray is an eccentric old guy in his neighborhood
Kampbell is an eccentric soup salesman
Duvroc is his uncle (directly stated)
Apricot is... his aunt? What was she doing with Duvroc in the credits?
Bouquet/Scarlet is a nerdy girl, probably one of his friends
Long Sauvage is his neighbor
Spumoni is Sauvage's wife
Kokomo-Pine is a cashier at a fast-food restaurant
Shizuka is an Asian friend of his (hence the "alien" references- she's foreign)
Ferne is his geography teacher
Shishkeebabo is another teacher
Omelet is his worrying neighbor
The younger princess in the car (forgot her name) is Omelet's daughter

Whew, glad that's over. Hopefully that was insightful or something.

I DID IT ! ! ! Happy I DID IT ! ! ! Happy I DID IT ! ! !

I finished Little King's Story ! ! !

FUCKIN' AWESOME ENDING TO A FUCKIN AWESOME GAME ! ! !

ONE OF THE BEST EVER ! ! !

No other game in recent memory has intertwined such childhood wonderment, with such diversified game play, genuine, philosophical thought-provoking ideas --AND-- heart warming/wrenching revelations ! ! !

I can absolutely relate on every level to this game! I remember being young, hopeful and adventurous with a little bit of fear and loneliness, as much as I realize about being an adult and needing an escape from reality!

This game provided me with dozens of hours of entertainment, while bringing a tear to my eye, remembering the loss of my grandma this year... Under the guise of a video game, to the tune of appropriate classical music masterpieces, Marvelous and XseeD has gifted all gamers with an absolutely FLAWLESS piece of interactive ART ! ! !

I DID IT ! ! ! Happy I DID IT ! ! ! Happy I DID IT ! ! !

There's apparently MORE to the ending when you beat Tyrant Mode ! ! !

I can't even imagine what more it would have to show!

I'm going to need to take a break from this game for a little while and ponder all that transpired!

The whole escaping outside of the universe and looking into the face of God thing has my mind spinning circles!

I can see myself returning to it later to polish off the quests and revisit some of the greatest sites and moments this game had to offer!

Yeah, smoove I saw exactly what you mean about the character's endings!

It was a very Wizard of Oz kinda concept, but still incredibly cool, deep and touching!

I'm having problems beating 4 star guardians. I have 23 people in my royal guard with all the power ups so far availible and I've beaten 3 bosses, doing this quiz boss and got stuck on the final question as these chickens pummeled the crap out of me.

So I thought I would chooe me seeing how it was me rampaging about the land. Nope. So I thought it was Howser as he is egging on world domination. Nope.

So I thought a omellete boss was asking so I chose the BIG princess nope.

So I thought the lazy carefree guys were the worlds biggest problem. Nope.

Just tell me please. Getting the freaking suggestion box right was hard enough.

The biggest problem in the Kingdom is THAT Omelette King! Just keep on sending your troops to bump into the egg til the Worrywort King agrees and surrenders!

I sent my troops to him before and they just bumped off and walked away.

The question wasn't which is the biggest problem in "this kingdom", it was "this world".

Bastard developers messing around.

If I have one problem with this game its only being able to save at the castle. And sometimes you cant warp back home, walk 4 inches left and suddenly you can?

Keep bumping, eventually the Omelette King will agree and give up!

You need to be away from enemies to warp back to the castle.

They will remain Children until you build a school. You send them in there and they come out as Adults.
