JEEBUS. CRAP. CHRIST-ALL MIGHTY! I AM GOING TO THE STORE. I AM BUYING THE FRAKKIN' GAME --AND-- (AS A GENERALLY UNENTHUSED RE PLAYER) I WILL GIVE AN OPINION ON IT LATER ! ! !

No, play Borderlands!  RE6 later!....please.

No worries. I will still be playing Borderlands; I just had to buy and try the game to add some input to the ongoing debate...

...

...

...but both will have to wait until after the weekend! I'll be away until Monday. Sorry!

...

...

Then Tuesday I get Dishonored and XCOM!  GASP

...

...

I'm still completely --LOVING-- B2 though, so the others will have to wait!

Leo the debate actually has nothing to do with RE6. So you playing RE6 wouldnt add much of anything. I would love to talk with you about it though. Oh and get it for 360 and we can play.

What's the point of objectively liking something, though? What sort of a process would that even involve? First off you would have to not play the game so that something you genuinely like wouldn't add bias to your objective analysis, and then you'd write a list of pros and cons and base your opinion on that, rather than what you felt? Not that you felt anything, because you'd have to make sure you didn't before you divied up the tally or it could lead to bias. Plus you haven't played the game anyway. Nyaa

Nope all it takes for an objective opinion is to not be one of those fans who would of liked the game and bought it regardless because of the name on the box, or not be paid off. That is pretty much all it takes. So most of us have objective opinions for instance. A lot of other people on boards do not though. some do but not when it comes to certain series. I'm not talking about anyone here of course. Except maybe GG and the dumptruck full of money he got to constantly endorse endless ocean

Alright if that is how you see it, I personally don't see it like that. Essencially you are making judgement calls on whether or not you believe what the person is telling you is true. You are making assumptions they are lying about their actual feelings on a game for god knows what reason or money. It's so out there, I cant believe it, or am naive and don't want to believe it. Assuming we are not talking about boards like system wars where it is kind of the point to do stupid things like that.

The words objective and opinion are mutually exclusive.  In fact I dispute the whole notion of objectivity.  In most instances it is nothing more than the subjective opinion of the majority, or the "averaging out" of subjective opinions

I don't know, I think their love for a series is sincere. Perhaps they even like the same flaws that annoy you; it's just a difference of opinion. Their taste might suck, but it's still their taste rather than some masquerade. xD

I'll have you know I received a dumptruck of whale poo, which I rolled about in like a pig in filth.

On a more serious note: seriously this reviews issue is now spreading to other threads? sad

Wasn't the whole point of this thread more to do with major games/franchises that ended up completely bombing, than just games people personally don't like?

DERAILED THREAD MUTHAFUCKAS!!!

LOL....I really liked MGS4 for the most part, but I can see how some people wouldn't be into it. And the story was completely retarded at the end. Still, I liked most of the new elements they added even though I prefer the older games.

It was just completely ridiculous at the end...they took the story in a direction that was so far off the rails that it was almost embarassing. And it went on in detail for WAAAAY too long. Youtube it if you need to see.

I agree, it was just way too over the top.  Kojima's last little twist was embarrassing.

Tell me what happened. Did Snake drive a truck through time to when his grandad was born or what?
