It's that ONE game philosophy, that feeling of contentment that I am looking for here... while it is true this usually leads to your most played game... it usually starts with "I am enjoying this game sooo much, I can't believe I only paid XX for this!"

Even still it's not ONLY the dollar value versus gameplay I am looking for here. It is more how much you VALUE the game (not just monetarily) versus other games. It's the game you can't picture not having anymore. The one you'll always go back to and enjoy. Maybe it's unique, maybe it's addictive, maybe it just holds particular nostalgic feelings. Maybe you've finished the game already, but you enjoy playing it sooo much, you just play it again and again for pure enjoyment's sake.

If you notice, there's games that I rate VERY highly, but are NOT on this list. Metroid Prime, for example. Did I love the game? Yep. Did I get my money's worth? Yep. Would I play it again? Probably not. It was a near perfect game experience, but once I was done, I was done.

It's hard to pinpoint what exactly it is about these games versus others, but anyone else feel the same?

I would have to add Mass Effect 2 to my list as well.
