I wondered why your list wasn't current. How long was Mercs Vade?
Wow, forgot about this thread - added in the following:
- 18. Mortal Kombat (29/5/11) - Completed story mode, attained most of the endings and cleared most of the challenge tower. Great fighting game with plentiful single player content.
- 19. Disgaea Infinite (30/5/11) - The visual novel of Disgaea. Attained most of the 14 endings, though for fans only.
- 20. Dead or Alive Dimensions (30/5/11) - Completed Story mode and unlocked every character. Great fighting game, and the reason to pick up a 3DS so far.
- 21. Dragon Ball Evolution (8/6/11) - Cleared story mode, and attained nearly every character. Not running through the game again. Not worth it at all.
- 22. Dead or Alive Paradise (15/6/11) - Utter trash. Do not play.
- 23. Bastion (19/7/11) - Lengthy, yet satisfying downloadable.
Another!
24. Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows - Part 2 (20/711) - Better than the last Harry Potter game, but that isn't saying much.
After several months and six hours I've finally finished Call of Juarez! In just several hours I killed 1356 people. The west was a violent place. Pretty inconsistent for a 6 hours game, but the great parts were really enjoyable, and the boring bits weren't too bad. Story got engaging towards the end too. The annoying priest guy redeemed himself! Fuck you Thomas.
Forgot to add my little blurbs about SCII and DQ IX.

I very much enjoyed BiB as well. One of the very few games where I actually gave a damn about the characters.
Finished Limbo and disliked it so much I felt the need to write a damning review of it. I think had there not been so many people who went on and on about how brilliant it was I may have been willing to give it a pass, but no such luck. I officially hate the game and urge everyone to use their $15 more constructively. Toilet paper would be a better use.

Toilet paper is a better invsetment than any game, though.
Unless you don't want to keep the manual.
Finished Costume Quest this morning. Great game. This was a good solid 6 hour experience. Definitely on the easy side, but I still died a couple times when I wasn't taking it too seriously. It's very much from the Mario RPG school of jRPGs that combines some overworld action and light puzzles with turn based jRPG battles that have some timing based fight tricks. Anyway it cute, funny, and really does a good job of kind of capturing childhood. If there was ever a Calvin & Hobbes videogame, this would be it.
If anyone was on the fence about getting it, grab it now while it's on sale for $7.50. It's still worth the full price of $15, but at half-off this game is just a steal.
I finished Limbo. Personally I loved it, though in terms of gameplay and pacing I think it could have ended better. The way the story ended was fine, though. It's a shame the puzzles were kinda forgotten in the last few sections (and the story in the second half, save for the ending). The graphics were good, but I really, really loved the soundtrack. So good. Oh, and the puzzles and platforming weren't bad either!
I think Vader would really appreciate the platforming in the second half of the game, but maybe not for $15.
If Vader acts now, he can get LIMBO for $10 since he is a PSN + member.
UPDATE!
- 25. Nier (4/8/11) - All four endings attained. Worth the 25 hour investment (and a bit more). Easily my favourite game of the last year.
Does anybody actually read these? I know it said to write only a few sentences, but once I start, I find I cannot stop myself! Unless, of course, no one reads them anyway, and I can just stop altogether...
Keep doing it, you'll be happy you did at the end of the year.
I do go though and read them when I update mine. The stickiness helps and hurts the thread, because the thread is generally ignored (since it's always at the top).
I keep my list updated at GS. Anyway just yesterday I guess I finished RE Mercs, the credits rolled so I guess it counts. Then it unlocked like 7 new stages, crazy hard ones. The game is hard as hell and they nerfed Wesker.
