Very good point Aspro, why should I have to pay for online modes I wont use?
Nice podcast guys, thanks.

Listening now.Holy Moses Batman. Hearing Aspro for the first time is f-r-r-reaking me out.
Not quite American, not quite Austrailian. He's a Chimera.
Red Dead Redemption. I know it's like GTA, I know how these games work, like how Bully works too. What no one has been able to quantify for me, is why exactly it's so good. I would like to hear that in more detail, why is it better than GTA or Gay tony etc.
With Bully it's because of the humour, the charm, the setting, the variety and characters. What is it about RDR that makes it so special?
Alan Wake, did you count the pixels?
Darth you play all these games, why don't you post more detailed impressions on the site
Nice Extraction impressions. Good game, shame it has no replay value.
My crazy theory about the appeal of RDR, to those who would otherwise be burntout on GTA, would be ... I'll break it down really simply:
- When in GTA4 you are always, on some level, determining the quality of reality being protrayed (since they are set in modern urban environments).
- But in RDR, since it is a fantasy environment, it feels more "real" -- kind of like Oblivion -- because you have no way of measuring the reality it's all real.
A correction in the cast, error me.
Vicarious Visions did not develop Quake 4 for the 360, Raven did. (Funnily enough).
Vicarious Visions did handle Doom 3 for the original XBOX.

Vicarious Visions did not develop Quake 4 for the 360, Raven did. (Ironically).
Vicarious Visions did handle Doom 3 for the original XBOX.
And from me, entering colour names for custom skins won't do anything, because a # sign is prepended, so it would come out as "#red" instead of "red". Just learn hex!

If your child is disturbed by GTA games, then you're a bad parent. Err, if you buy it for them, I mean.

This is such a fantastic Yakuza talk. Why am I not on this show. I get FIFA and some random JRPG I never heard of talk.

Wait a minute, where is the NPD?!?! NOOOOO!

You can change the sites colors, wha? I dont want to seach for anything, forget it.
Excellent podcast guys.

Yeah, I was really going to ninja camp. I did it before, check my old blogs.
Lol at the Apple = John Connor segment. Iwata = skynet
Good thing they finally discontinued Mario Party. Was getting stale!
Punch-Out was developed by a Canadian studio in with the help of Nintendo. Oh and there is also Bear Hugger, he is Canadian too.
Nintendo could charge for online, yeah sure, and Don Frye could shave of his mustache.
Why are we talking about Game Informer?
ONM gave the first Galaxy a 97% also, OoT got a 97% too
Pfft at GG, back in the day I posted 200 updates a day (well only at E3). But other people started to do updates and I became obsolete. Good thing too, was getting bored by it.

Gex
Samurai Showdown
(At the time, the BEST version of) Super Street Fighter II
The (ORIGINAL) Need for Speed
(The BEST) Road Rash
CPU Bach
Star Control II
Alone in the Dark
Alone in the Dark 2
Syndicate
Super Wing Commander
Wing Commander III
Way of the Warrior (Naughty Dog did it; may not have been great but GREAT f-u-n!)
...that and the Action/Strategy Battle Sequences!
Indeed. How DID we go there?
I will now be contemplating that for the rest of the holiday weekend.

So yeah. Who's on this weeks cast? I know I'll be!

phantom_leo said:One thing you all didn't mention that's kinda relevant: Sakura Wars and Valkyria Chronicles share MANY of the same people on their developments teams --THATS-- where the "develop the bonds between the characters" stuff comes from!

Ahhhh... did not know that. That makes me much happier about my purchase. Well Yoda will be playing it for a few months, so he can bring that up on the next cast.
OMG the happening, isn't that the film where the trees kill people? That was shit.
