Fuck Metal Gear Solid. That's right I said it. I haven't played it. I don't even want to play it. You know why? Because it sucks Great Dane dog balls. If Snake was any kind of real war hero the first thing he'd do is get a pair of scissors and cut off that ridiculous mullet of his. How the hell can anyone even take him seriously?
I really don't have too much against any of the games or franchises people hold dear. There are several that I don't enjoy, but I can see some merit in all of them. For example, Super Smash Bros. The initial concept of bringing together your entire lineup of beloved characters and have them beat the shit out of each other -- that's an okay idea. To this day it seems like a game that kids or drunk adults would enjoy. It's colorful and fast-paced.

Link to the Past is a highly overrated adventure game. The puzzles are tough for the advanced group in 1st grade, but other than that no one has trouble with them. Boss fights are easy. And the music is grating. It makes you want to stab your ear drums with Q-tips. The fact that this game continually outshines better SNES classics of the same genre like Illusion of Gaia/Time makes you wonder if reviews have ever given half a look at anything on a Nintendo system that wasn't made by Nintendo or Square.

Harvest Moon isn't a "sacred cow" though. I'm the only person who really thinks highly of it and puts it into the pantheon of gaming legends. And I'd like to think during the time we've known each other that I've made it abundantly clear that I don't know shit.
