How did you like Tearaway?

Funny thing it looks like it should be fun, pretty and quirky but I just find it oh so boring .... disappointing.

I'm finding it boring too.  As well as Little Big Planet Vita.  They're supposed to be "magical"?  Meh.  I may have to get Dragon's Crown before I play a decent game on my Vita ... but I kind of want to play that on the PS3

I pulled the trigger last night and bought Minecraft. I walked around digging stuff for about 10 minutes trying to figure out what to do. Then I finally realized how to build stuff. And then the Creeper snuck up on me and killed me. I yelled in surprise. My wife gave me a look and I didn't get any last.

I fucking hate Minecraft.

I just got VVVVVV from Steam it was $0.49 so I figured I would purchase it. I played the demo on the eShop and played the flash game.

SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:

  • SMB Mix-Up! (1AB2-0000-0047-5A7D)
  • Storm the Castle (77BD-0000-00E0-A9C0)

I find looking at the unopened box with no Vita boring as well.  Dragon;s Crown arrives soon too, making it worse.

Who makes money on 49 cents?

I have no idea it was a community choice and it was 90% off.

Yeah, from what I have heard Steam pays the difference, so it's all good for the publisher.

I bought Killer is Dead.  There was no doubt that I would get this as soon as it got the inevitable price drop.  I support Suda affiliated games (even if not at full price).  Anyway, game looks like a spiritual sequel to No More Heroes, in style, in plot etc so I look quite forward to it.

Keep us (or at least me) updated on how/if you enjoy it. I saw it at Gamestop last night and it was just $17, so it's already hobo pricing over here. I was tempted to grab it, but then I remembered the abysmal scores for it.

I bought Dr. Luigi last night. Pretty much just Dr. Mario with Luigi. The new L mode isn't particularly good. It's more like Dr. Mario for the slightly challenged. Still, Dr. Mario is Dr. Mario.

I have very little hope for it.  It's the result of some rookie game director who idolizes Suda ... trying to do his best impression of a Suda game (namely No More Heroes).  Even if it was endorsed by Suda, at this stage it doesn't really mean much.  The element of surprise and the anarchy and  punk aesthetic in Suda's games is long gone.  This is just copycat stuff.  Why did I buy it?  I like the artstyle - even if it's no longer original, I'm a sucker for cel-shaded games in this style.  Also, hope for some mindless hack n slash style fun.  I enjoy an action game which doesn't take itself too seriously or require hours of dedication just to learn how to play

I just got two games from Rob(io). Ducktales: Remastered (New and sealed). I am really excited about this one, after playing some DmC this morning I am going to give it a go. I need some lighter fare and this should be the shot. From a collecting perspective I love that I have the retail boxed copy too, not the DL version.

I also got a US REGION copy of ZombiU, which I'll keep as a talisman of friendship.

The fact that he bought these, mailed them to me all the way from the US, was really touching, and in the case of Ducktales MUCH MUCH appreciated.

Enjoy Duck Tales, Aspro.  My son and I finished it today, so good.  Secret Santa gifted that game to me as well.

Happy to send it your way. And as far as ZombiU goes, just put a chain around it and wear it as Geek Bling. I know that's important for street cred in the outback.
