Not sure what you’re talking about as I totally did that. 
I bought Streets of Rage 4 this evening. Game handed me my ass on the level two boss despite playing on easy. 
I had my doubts about this game but those all went out of the window within two minutes of starting it.

Final price...$41.00. not quite as good as my epic hobo purchase earlier this spring, but respectable all the same.
If anything, I probably should have waited an extra couple weeks. They ran this sale during the spring, but a couple weeks later they did a slightly better one, expanding the half off offer from games that are $20 and under two games that are $25 and under. I will come I really have no regrets. Truth be told I had to whittle my selection down as it was.
Downloaded Kingdom Hearts HD I.5 + II.5 ReMIX for the Xbox One. Not exactly at hobo pricing but it was on sale for $26 and regularly sells at $55 so I got it.

at some point I need to revisit my copy of this and finally play Birth by Sleep. I may need to even pause my playthrough of KH3 and play that just to help figure out what the hell's going on.

It's kind of funny, they didn't even try to bring you up to speed at the beginning of Kingdom Hearts 3. They pretty much just took the approach of, "If you're interested you'll figure it out on your own time."
Got Blazblue: Central Fiction Special Edition for the Switch today. Downloaded it from the eShop on sale for $25 Canadian. It normally sells for $65 so thought it was a pretty good deal.

Yeah I miss that Wii U home screen as well. It was a pretty cool concept.
Got the black and turquoise which I’m pretty happy with. Didn’t really want the orange or the purple ones. They only had the black and turquoise anyway. They had like 6 or 7 a couple days ago and were at only two today so I had to act quickly. I would have loved to have gotten that SNES 3DS XL but those have long since been gone. Hobos can’t be choosers.
By the way that’s in Canadian dollars. I would imagine that that is probably $100 US. Can’t beat that price. They’re probably just getting rid of whatever stock they have left.
