I haven't partaken in any Christmas sales so far, although I am eyeballing Alan Wake 2.   I'm a little burnt out on gaming at the moment, but my family exchanged presents last night, and I didn't get any games to show for it so I feel like I need at least one thing to play.

I did get a new capture card for my son though, and that's pretty nice. The one I've been streaming with over the past year is a pretty cheap card, and I really only got that. Just see if it would be something I even wanted to do in the first place. So this should make for a smoother experience.

This is some seriously weird shit.

So I have Hitman WOA Switch 2. It takes up 50gb installed.
I haven't been able to download the update because it says I need 49gb for the update.

So I was like, surely they don't expect me to download a 50gb patch? So I googled it:

the Nintendo Switch 2, Hitman World of Assassination: Signature Edition requires approximately 53.54 GB to 61 GB of storage space.
Key data details for the 2025 release include:

Download Size: The base digital download is listed at approximately 53.54 GB to 53.8 GB.

Total Install Requirement: With all content and patches included, the game typically occupies about 61 GB on the system storage.
Updates: Some players have reported post-launch updates that can temporarily require significantly more space (up to 112 GB) during the installation process, though the final footprint typically settles back to around 58–61 GB after completion.

I've seen this a few times on PC. MS is gulty of this with some Window 10/11 updates.

I don't believe I've seen or heard of it on console before, though.

Finished my Astro Bot stream once and for all. It has a really nice Christmas themed DLC level, and I thought that would be appropriate to stream today. I also took the opportunity to go back and get a few of those last trophies I had missed. But best of all, I finally got through the end of the Golden Boy level (hardest level in the main game) and rescued the last bot, Master Onion from Parappa. With that, I've completed everything and officially platinum'd the game. So that's a nice little Christmas present to myself.
