Just got back from my local Walmart with a Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle! Woo hoo! Feels good to be able to walk into a store and buy a console on launch day.
I fiddled around with Odyssey. Can you choose between performance or resolution? I didn't see an option.
Feels like everyone has one except me.
Would have been easier to go to a store in the morning and get one over the counter.
Nice. I love that most of us are getting the new console today.
Sorry to hear that.
At least you have one on its way though I guess.
Yeah. It’s always exciting getting a new system.
Since I surprise bought a Switch2 my new mission is to now convince the wife we need a HDR capabke 4k screen. This ain't gonna be easy...
Refuse to do it till I do the system transfer.
It's saying its going to transfer and remove my Splatoon 2 and Animal Crossing save data from my OLED so I can't play on it there.
I don't mind but the Splatoon and Animal Crossing downloaded data will take up a huge chunk of Switch 2s hdd.
Build quality of the system is great, even above the OLED, very premium.
Huge though.
Thumb sticks are too short, I'm getting thumbcaps.
No way I can use mouse mode without some sort of controller shell.
Will do,but not immediately.
Mario kart is taking 40 minutes to download on my peasant internet
It even smells like high end hardware. Switch never had that.
You got this bro. I had to compromise I got a new tv if we also got a new fridge. Well, some compromise. I paid for both.
Probably happen to me too.
Tell your wife that your bros on the Internet won't consider you a real man without HDR.
Because it's so large, you expect it to be chunky.
Also, like my phone, whenever you want to set up a new device it starts with the screen on like 10% brightness with no way to alter it until setup is complete.
When was this ever considered a good idea?
Yeah, my eyes were suffering this morning.
My daughter has been driving around in free roam collecting as many outfits as possible. I got to admit the old school Mario tunes are hitting me in the feels.
I'm having to manually cancel them one by one. It's ridiculous, no mass edit option.
I haven't played any games yet as Mario Kart is downloading, but so far the screen is definitely no OLED.
The Dark theme helps.
Yeah, it wanted to download a bunch of my digital games and dlc. Canceled each one as well. A mass cancel would have been nice. Thankfully I didn’t have all that many though.
I've had my Switch 1 on dark mode so long I'd forgotten there were other theme options, lol
Helps that the technical update is pretty incredible. It looks as good as what a remaster would.
