I've been playing Mario Kart World with the family and have also delved into FAST Fusion.  The Fusion mechanic, which basically lets you combine 2 vehicles into a new one with superior stats, is pretty nifty.  It doesn't really impact minute to minute gameplay, but it gives a nice overarching motivation to keep playing and trying out new 'fusions'.  I was surprised by the limited amount of tracks, with only 12 tracks available.  FAST RMX features 36 tracks, altough I can't remember how many of those were added later as DLC.  Still, the game feels rather slim now and I don't think that the pull of the fusion mechanic will be enough to keep me replaying those same 12 tracks long enough to really experiment with the fusion mechanic.  A bit of a shame that.

How do you even Fuse vehicles?

Fast RMX was the Wii U game ported to switch? They must have added a lot of tracks.

Yeah, I assume they added a number of tracks, although from what I can find only 8 tracks were added through DLC?

The fusing happens in the shop.  You chose a vehicle you own, select fuse and chose which other one you want to fuse it with.  Thing is, you need to own both carts, so there's a lot of buying the same vehicles over and over again.

As for the gamesharing: I tried it with my son locally, and locally it works pretty well.  Resolution is lower than when playing split screen, with the receiving Switch looking especially grainy.  But hey, you do get a whole screen instead of just half.

Oh the shop. Have to try that.

I'm more focused on just unlocking all the GPs in the higher leagues.

So this is weird, FAST Fusion has two 4k modes. When my switch 2 is set to 4k output the tv says its only receiving a 1440p resolution.

I assumed the switch 2 would do some final image pass son that everything would receive a 4k output but that's not true. Mario Kart is 1440p.

SF6 normal 1 v 1 mode is 4k when 120hz is off. Cyberpunk 2077 is a 1080p game but turn off 120hz and it outputs at 1440p and unlocks beast mode.

I didn't think it was possible for it to look any better but in 1440p the clarity and contrast is much better, it seems to unleash HDR to work properly too.

Seriously impressed.

If you own Switch 2 you need to toggle HDR only for compatible games and turn 120hz off in the Switch 2 settings menu. Huge difference.

Ive been playing Phantasy Star (SMS) and Tetris & Dr Mario (SNES) over the weekend.

I've been stuck on Phantasy Star but found a guide book scan on the Internet Archive that pointed me in the right direction.

I was in Texas visiting family, so no gaming for me this weekend. I thought I'd squeeze in a little last night, but my flight got delayed several hours and Orlando's airport was having a meltdown when I got in. So I got in well after midnight, and that was that.

I'm nearing the end of Clair Obscur, but there's lots of side stuff to do so who knows how long I'll drag it out.

Great show btw Aspro and Vader, but where were the Resident Evil 9 content!?

I want Nintendo to patch MKW so I can turn off the sound effects and just roam listening to the tunes.
