I'm just curious about this, guys. Do you keep your console boxes? I tend to hold on to mine, at least for about a year.
I used to, but a couple years ago I was looking at the box my Wii came in and started thinking to myself, "what the fuck am I even keeping this for?" I don't store them in the boxes. Ultimately they just take up space. So this time around, when I bought the PS5, the only reason the box hung around for a week is because I was too lazy to take it to the garbage can outside.
CIB consoles do have a much higher resell value. I always enjoyed looking at them as their own pieces of art too. This Genesis box is still my favorite of on system boxes:
Yeah, I really enjoy the box art of some of the systems. Feel that it’s part of the system. I also just find it a much more convenient and organized way to store old systems.

Yes. And when I sell them as CIB it will be worth it. I've sold a few handhelds CIB and that 70 cent cardboard box has added hundreds of dollars of value. I even keep the plastic, twist ties and everything else that came with it. I still have Atari warranty cards.
WTH is going on over at Xbox? Even I could easily tell this is an AI generated pic!
You don't type with your screen turned the other way?
I;d really like Travo's view on AI generated art, but would not want it wasted in an ephemeral news post. It would deserve a post in the off topic -- or if you are inspired I'd put it up on game under.
I've veen on vacation but my son and I got some good playtime with Split Fiction this past weekend.

I keep all of them and I'm running out of room thanks to the huge PS5 and PSVR2 boxes. I'm seriously considering dumping those, though.
I keep the packaging for all the systems I buy for as long as I have the systems. Got several of my older systems back in their boxes and put away.

I kept them all and wonder why. Guess I'll sell a boxed N64 someday.

Why do you think they're hiring in the graphics department?
I'm happy just staring at the windows logo.
