My eldest really wants it so yeah, for €20 we'll definitely end up owning it.
I'm witj Robio. Although Wii Sports would be a good choice as well. It might not be the best game per se, but it definitely sold the ideas behind its console the best.
I heard there was also a VR version announced? I wonder if it'll be something akin to Moss where the gameplay isn't altered, but you see the action from a vantage point and get to slightly bob your head around to really take it in. It'd be very cool -and unsettling- to see the 'adults' from the avatar's point of view, but I'd assume it'd completely change the game and I don't see the developer going to such lengths as to make that work. Unless the VR bit was about a short standalone game.
So I beat the first campaign in Advance Wars ReBooted some while ago, turns out it was developed by Wayforward. I wasn't aware of that and that's pretty cool that they got handed a 1st party franchise to remake. Ok, it's a very straightforward remake with little in the way of creative imput, but perhaps this is a forebode to them getting to work on some other Nintendo IP. Their games are always great fun.
I won't even notice things and then it breaks out that something is really bad and I'm like, what's this?
Sometimes some 30fps games seem to feel like 60 to me. I can tell if they're side by side, but a smooth 30 I don't really have a problem with.
I think some eagle eyed people are saying ghosting happens in 2D pixel art games? I personally refuse to play virtually all my unpatched swith 1 games on the switch 2 screen.
Because of the resolution scaling. I have a feeling this is more the problem as scaling causes artifacts.
I have no problem with the image quality, vibrancy or smoothness of the screen playing games actually made for Switch 2 so far.
It needs a few tweaks here and there. I also appreciate the £35 price, as I got the bundle.
But, I do something else to play with it, a deeper story based game like Cyberpunk. There are other alternatives but you guys probably played them already on other systems.
If I only had MKW and another racing game, Fast Fusion I'd be getting a little bored right now.
Cyberpunk is the perfect compliment to this launch for me. And I'm glad DK Bananza is quite close.
I remember playing it at a friend's house and it was one of the first 3D games I'd ever played, it was mind bending at the time.
Otherwise I really like Rogue Squadron as a SW fan. It really showed off the GC tech too.
Good calls. I don't think anything will ever compare to playing Mario64 for the first time after plugging in the N64. It's a bit sad for kids these days that that sense of wonder isn't there anymore. They're just used to everything looking amazing and being free.
Big fan of Rogue Squadron too, although I feel Luigi's Mansion was visually more impressive. It really emphasized that generational leap with all the little visual details and with how emotive Luigi was.
Charged both Switch 2 and battery to max.
Got 3.5 hours in total out of it playing a mix of Cyberpunk and MKW.
Before I was only getting 2 hrs 15 mins, without the battery.
It doesn't sound like a huge bump (remember I deliberately bought the lightest lowest capacity battery) so the handheld won't be too heavy when it's attached.
So an hour 15 mins extra actually feels like a lot more when you've been playing it for over 3 hrs straight.
I have a larger heavy 20'000 mah battery, I tried it on switch once and it couldn't charge and play at the same time. So the battery was draining from Switch 1 when playing it.
It would only charge when it was in sleep mode.
This new battery suprised me as it did charge the battery as I was playing but it got really hot when it was powering switch 2.
When charging the battery itself it doesn't get hot.
Thinking of getting a 10'000 man magsafe battery if it isn't too heavy as one user got 6 hours playing Cyberpunk.
Zelda TP for me is easily the best. The whole Wii experience I loved, yeah it was technically a GC game but I love motion controls, it was fun to mess with them and have one of the greatest games of all time at launch.
Really want that on switch online.
BTW have you guys tried Switch online classic collection on the expansion pack?
It's not something I ever would have tried if it wasn't gifted to me by a really nice person.
Trying them all out now that more games have been added, I'm not sure how often I'd use it but it's very cool to just casually click an icon and seconds later be playing Fzero GX or Perfect Dark on a handheld.
The games aren't downloaded individually either, so if you choose to install the app all the games availible for those platform are on your system all at once.
It's definitely a solid selection, but I still don't like the pay wall.
Or premium priced stuff.
