New Nintendo Switch 2 details: Possible announcement window, Joy-Con solution and …According to the CEO of peripheral company Blade, the possible price of the console is …
https://www.gamereactor.eu/rumour-new-nintendo-switch-2-details-possible-announcement-window-joy-con-solution-and-charging-system-1438183/
As we always say, this is unconfirmed, but Ruben Mercado, CEO of Blade, a company that makes third-party accessories for game consoles (such as grips for PS5 and the current Nintendo Switch) has appeared on Vandal Radio and revealed information from his close sources about some of Nintendo Switch 2's features.
Firstly, Mercado would confirm that the new Joy-Con will have a magnetic connection system with the console. This could be a cause for concern for some gamers, who believe this could lead to controller connection issues. But Mercado says Nintendo has found a locking solution to prevent dropping or disconnection.
He also questions alleged leaks of images we have seen in recent weeks, based on the joystick design, and that several Chinese manufacturers have told him that it is not possible to create protective grips for the sticks, without revealing the reason. The charging system would have an alternative on the top of the console, thanks to a USB-C port.
The conversation then turned to the announcement window and the possible price of the Switch 2. Mercado notes that, while Nintendo can always make a surprise announcement whenever it wants, the norm when making announcements of this kind that could boost a Japanese company's stock price is that they are usually made six months before the product launch. As the market suggests that the console would already be finished and that the effort is now to accumulate enough stock for a simultaneous global launch, Blade's CEO believes that it could take place in November, although he then qualifies that October is also possible. Finally, he puts the price of the Nintendo Switch 2 at between 400 and 500 euros.
Along with Trials of Mana and Legend of Mana.
Be sure to enable airplane mode. Hopefully that will tide you over.
Actress Maggie Smith of downtown abbey and harry potter fame died. RIP
I often wondered how long she'd still be around. She seemed to have been very old for ages.
edit: loved her in The Lady in the Van. Typically smal British story that.
I'm absolutely loving Epic Mickey Rebrushed. So much to explore and find in the levels. It's been so long since I last played it, it feels mostly new again. They fixed everything that sucked about the controls and frame rate issues on Wii. It's 4K60 on PS5 and the artwork looks amazing! The artstyle is really making me want to replay Alice Madness Returns again too.
Bring on Epic Mickey 2 Rebrushed. I will buy it, Disney.
Always wanted the sequel but I heard the 360 version had frame rate issues and bugs. Same for Wii U version.
I don't remember the 2D levels well enough to know if they've added anything or not, but they are great. I could play an entire game of those.
Yeah, I hope They remake the sequel like they did with Epic Mickey rather than remaster it. That would fix any bugs and performance issues for sure. I have the Wii version and Oswald's AI, or lack thereof, being a bit frustrating for me.
Any thoughts on the new false advertising law in California?
California’s new law forces digital stores to admit you’re just licensing content, not buying it - The Verge
The legislation will force digital storefronts to tell customers they’re just getting a license to use the digital media, rather than suggesting they actually own it.
When the law comes into effect next year, it will ban digital storefronts from using terms like “buy” or “purchase,” unless they inform customers that they’re not getting unrestricted access to whatever they’re buying. Storefronts will have to tell customers they’re getting a license that can be revoked as well as provide a list of all the restrictions that come along with it. Companies that break the rule could be fined for false advertising.
Second day without power.
I think its the right thing to do. How many customers feel swindled because they buy something digitally and then are confused when yhey lose that media?
That is the worst, hope it comes back soon. Didn't get anything bad so I was lucky.
The second run through to find the goddess wasn't bad. Having some inclination of the level design and using the turbo button helped. The goddess power let's you destroy the final level chain of bosses fairly easily.
There's still some rank bullshit going on. Using the rewind feature, depending on when you released it, you can see the AI adapting in a microsecond to blatantly screw you over.
Still, it's done so I can appreciate the games iconic character designs and music without hating it too much.
I ordered Gargoyles season 2 and this Pirate animation I forgot the name of. They literally burn the disc, print the cover and post it out.
What we need is a law that forces companies to have this as a backstop for those that want a printed copy of their digital game.
Or have a series of servers, backed up by various insurance companies, that legally guarantee that you will have access to redownload in perpetuity.
Otherwise, why not put a bluray burner drive in the console, let us make our own discs as backups.
I've started saving all my digital game receipt emails in one folder for some future date, if I need them.
Our main tv is an LCD over 13 years old, I have no clue how visible all these new technologies really.
What systems are you planning on hooking up to it? I'd say 32" LED is fine for most people. 4K is good for longevity, and if image quality is important to you.
