And even on switch theres tons of games that just don't support it. Like Bioshock and tons of point and click games just use analog sticks.
Only a few, probably under 5 use an actually pointer system.
Also, hardly any of them use the touch screen FFS.
I wish devs would allow users to mod in pointer controls.
I've played a shit ton of Snowrunner, over 660 hours and I still have another 250 hours i could put in. That game has mods that allow fans to add the most amazing and sometimes ridiculous things to the game.
Let someone put motion controls in fps please.
I'm guessing that Nintendo had planned the reveal for April 2nd all along and just showed a small part of the Direct they're preparing to shut up the leakers. They've probably made it very clear to everyone who hopes to ever release anything on any Nintendo platform again that they can't announce or leak anything before their big reveal bonanza on the 2nd.
For a long time fan who's heard whispers going back 3 or 4 years about Switch Pro, it feels like an extended marathon.
I think they could have revealed it last summer and released it holiday 2024.
It was supposed to come out in 2023/4 originally.
We've been waiting long enough, I think they didn't want to put people off buying a switch 1 last Christmas.
Maybe it makes business sense, but I feel sorry for the kid who ends up stuck with switch 1 for the next 5 years.
Would be nice for Civ 7 as well.
Sony controllers have had gyro controls since PS3 but it's rarely used in games. It's probably because most people don't want to learn to use it. Id like to use it for aiming, but the movement destroys my wrists.

Maybe if you modify the sensitivity, you could only make tiny movements using it?
The majority of Switch FPS use motion controls. And unlike the Wii, they all seem to work really well without much tweaking.
I don't think I've completed a dual analog fps on switch. I actually avoid them, even when bought.
I'd forgotten about cross gen games. DF are saying MK9 is probably a cross gen game.
So that's why it doesn't look massively better I guess. The specs have Switch 2 like 8 to 11 times more powerful than Switch 1 in raw power. That doesn't even factor in DLSS, SSD, the RAM amount and bandwidth.
Now to decide which edition to get: $70 Standard edition, $99 Deluxe edition, or the $129 Founders edition? Hmmm....
Edge had a good interview with the civ 7 boss. Expect changes. They said they've limited themselves to only changing a third of the game. The new leaders aspect looks positive.
