For me I have a 65" tv and my chair can be 5ft to 8ft away, at an angle.
But 4k is more than good enough. With videos I can clearly see the difference most of the time in video quality. But then some videos are exceptionally clean looking at 1080p so that leads me to believe the camera capture quality and compression is a bigger factor.
With games though, some games can still look incredible at 1080p. I've seen a lot of previews and reactions recently where people have thought a game they previewed was a higher resolution that it actually is and a higher framerate than it actually is.
I think a perfect flat line when it comes to frame pacing is key and no dynamic resolution scaling drops.
I kinda wish I'd ponyed up for the 65". Bigger screen likely would be easier to see the 4K difference.
Yeah, I just recently watched the video for it on Nintendo’s YouTube channel. Coming out January 15th. Will likely pick up the upgrade myself. It’s been quite awhile since I’ve played that game. My island is probably in shambles by now.
Still haven't played New Horizons yet.
But we all were playing it and visiting each other’s islands when it came out.
Did anyone play and enjoy the original Octopath Traveller? I got a $25 PSN gift card, and I was looking around at what's on sale right now. That seems to be the only game that I'm genuinely interested in that I haven't played before. So it's either that, or else I'm going to rebuy games I've already bought or played a time or two before.

Yeah, really enjoyed it myself. Playing each of the eight characters was interesting and unique amongst them all. Cool to have them all come together and party up later in the game. Pretty fun battle system as well. Definitely gets a recommendation from me.
Mortal Kombat Kollection is getting thrashed on Steam reviews for being an unfinished, laggy mess offline and even worse when played online (no lobby or matchmaking); seems to be the same on other platforms as well. Digital Eclipse says patches are coming. I was looking forward to this collection, but I'll wait for a price drop and patches now.
It's really sad how rotten the gaming industry has become when they even rush out a compilation of 30+ year old games. It's also telling how many MK games were left out of this $50 collection. DLC anyone?

It's all about designing things on spec. Here's a new island, animals ask you to decorate a room.
Something different would be better.
Edit its back on Amazon and £35 new
Oh hell no.
Thatll piss my sister off.
I meant the dlc. What's that called?
Ah, ok. Yeah not sure what it’s called either. Also never played it.
Happy Home Milking Players Paradise.
Very appropriate.

That should have been a slam dunk.
