Yeah, looking forward to picking up Astro Bot this Friday.

Geez that went quick. That and Gran Turismo are the only games I'd get a PS5 for.  Just need a couple more to push me over the edge... (and a bloody redesign of that Georgia O'Keefe monstronsity.

I like PS5's inviting design. It's like it wants me to put my disc inside and play.

A retro snes style switch controller costs several time as much as a retro game collection on sale.

This is highly annoying.

Aspro, have you ever hollered in front of a PS5 to see if there was an echo?

I'm a little confused why they would still want to re-release The Legend of Zelda cartoon. It was terrible. I mean god-awful terrible. I suppose I might have been a little too old for it, but I remember watching it thinking it was the cringiest thing I had ever seen. And I didn't even know what cringy meant yet.

It's not as good as the rad Zelda rap commercial, but nothing in gaming can compare to that masterpiece.

Incredible reviews, some say best platformer since Galaxy. I'll be getting it tonight. So excited to have a great 3D platformer again.

What a contrast between Astro Bot and Concord. Sony at their worst and Sony at their best. Concord is a disaster we have never seen, I'm impressed they refunded everyone. Just take the loss and learn to make more games like Astro bot.

So Star Wars is fine, there are things the games does really well. That said I have hit the feel of repetitiveness and the shallow gameplay is standing out. For an open world game it's so limited in options. You only drive your bike, can't pick up any other vehicles. You only get your blaster to keep, you can pick up enemy weapons but drop them the moment you climb anything. The stealth is so basic compared to say Watch Dogs. It has all these ubi elements but it's the most basic version of all of them. There is so much room to do more.

but presentation is great, I feel like I'm in a big Star Wars story and it plays well for the most part. This feels so safe and bland though.

Eurogamer is really going all in with their 25 year anniversary celebrations and I'm loving it.  They clearly put a lot of time and effort in their '100 best games you can play right now' list, with a unique layout and short description with a couple of images for each game.  They've also gone at length to recreate all the old web designs so you can switch back and forth while reading the current news.  And their '25 games that defined Eurogamer' list is an amusing trip down memory lane as well.

What irks me though is that I have no clue when I started reading Eurogamer anymore.  Not even seeing the old designs jogs my memory.

With MonHun Wilds on the horizon, I've been contemplating getting a current gen console to play it on.  My PC was outdated when I put it together 11 years ago, so that obviously won't do.  So that leaves me with the option of an Xbox series or a PS5.  For the first time in my 35 year carreer as a gamer, I'm considering getting a Playstation.  It'd be nice to play Ratchet & Clank and Astro Bot.  Would have been even nicer if Sony had released a smaller redesign by now, as I don't think I can fit the PS5 in my cabinet.

Is PS5 backwards compatible?  I'd love to play SotC and The Last Gardian.  Not that I ever would, I hardly game on the TV anymore these days, it's all handheld Switch.
