PSA: Just a reminder that the Xbox 360 storefront will be shutting down in late July. Some games are going for pretty cheap right now so if you got an Xbox 360 you might want to take a look and see if there’s any non backwards compatible games you want to get.

Yeah, not too sure if there’s much left for me from the 360 that’s not backwards compatible either.

Been playing Elden Ring DLC which is every bit as fantastic as the base game. If you love ER get it now! If not there isn't anything new here, it's even harder. It feels like it's FROM at the top of their game, I am loving ever second.

which leads me to the online service talk, that game is about the only online stuff I play on PS. I just have it on PS cause I don't want to lose features on many games. Nintendo isn't a tough buy cause it's so cheap, I'll use it for leaderboards in the Nintendo championship game. It's ridiculous we have to pay for this but it's where we are.

Wow! Classic 90's PC Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 are coming to Gog soon. RE1 is available now. Never expected to see these get re-released. They can be purchased separately or in a cheaper bundle.

Yikes! Donkey Kong Country Returns will be sixty dollars as well. Yet they sold Metroid Prime at $40.

Gamestop still has the Wii version of DKCR for $20 new. Just in case any one just wanted to play it without the HD graphics.

I still have my Wii and 3DS copies. Probably time to sell them.

I'd forgotten they made a 3DS version. Damn, they really got some mileage out of that game.

Atari 50 news is interesting. I naively thought it would be a free content inclusion to the original.

Also sorry for not posting this week. Hectic doesn't begin to describe, plus I ran out of internet 3 days ago.

Happy Frigay all!

I recieved my N64 Switch controller this afternoon; been playing N64 games with it all evening. It's been around 20 years since the last time I held an N64 controller but I immediately noticed my gameplay had improved with it. Muscle memory and nostalgia.

I'm suspicious. I think that's a barbarian cosplaying as a wizard.

Yep, nothing like the original hardwae (controllers). Do we have Smash Bros to thank for making a N64 controller on Switch commercially viable?

I don't believe so. NSO doesn't have N64 Smash Bros yet and most Smash fans seem to prefer the Gamecube controller. Nintendo said, "Let's release a $50 N64 controller for NSO. Nostalgic old farts like Ravenprose will buy it!" Nyaa

I tested out the N64 D-pad by playing Super Mario Bros 1. It works quite well. Now that's a sentence I never expected to write!
