Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo drops today
Sony has leaked that a Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo will be dropping today for PS5, most likely right after the State of Play stream.thesixthaxis.com news aspro
yeah but Phil's never hung around here. Miyamoto definitely has, although frankly I don't think anyone wants him as a guests these days. I'll tell you what, after the Wii U tanked, he's become a real nasty drunk.
Last week I got a call from the bartender at the local dive bar that he and I used to hang out at. He asked if I could drive shiggy home, because he had about 10 too many. Apparently he had been cut off for about an hour and a half when they realized that he had been paying other people to buy him shots, and he had officially reached the point of being a nasty sloppy drunk.
It was pretty ugly when I got there too. He was hanging out with some 350 lb barfly who was trying to convince him to go back to her place. I don't know what she was expecting though. He was so blitzed, there was no way in hell he was going to be able to get it up. As soon as I sat down he took one look at me, yelled something about me being a white devil, and then puked all over the floor.
Anyway, between me and the bartender we finally got him to agree to go home. The two of us had to lift him up though, and between half a dozen racial slurs and Japanese, and a few more dry heaves we finally got him into a cab. No idea what the cabbie did with him once he got back to his place, but hell that's not my problem. Anyway, my whole point is that he's probably not going to be in good enough shape to do a podcast.
Great RE talk on the podcast. REmakes are all great except RE0; I wasn't a fan of it.
I beat the original RE3 back in the day but have very little memory of it. No memory of the clock tower at all. I need to replay it. Loved the remake; now I want to see what's missing.
I didn't know Code Veronica was officially supposed to be RE3 and Nemesis was to be a side story. That's interesting.
I never played RE6 and will likely only play it if it's remade. It's too QTE heavy from the video I just watched.

heh, I always assumed Miyamoto was more of a shrooms guy rather than of a drunk.

You know with the whole mess that Xbox is going through right now, it's not surprising that some people are overreacting a bit. I've seen some posts on other places where people think all support for Xbox is going to be turned off as soon as they declare support for PS5 with Game pass (assuming that's even what ends up happening).
Support for the system isn't going anywhere. It's just not going to be where you go for exclusive games. That said, it does make me wonder if the price of the systems are going to crash. Sometimes perception can turn into reality. I would definitely consider a Series X if it got down to the $200 mark.
^I don;t want to overreact either, but I can see, based on the Phil Spencer email from the Sony/Activision lawsuit, and MS's retreat from hardware in their other sectors, that they would abandon the console market mid-generation. I think if they were given truth serum they'd admit that their highest goal would be to have Game Pass on Playstation and not have to worry about making consoles anymore. Would Sony let them? It would erode Sony's own software sales if they did, so probably not?
Remember when the Netflix App was on Wii? And the Wii was the number one platform for Netflix in the US. I've noted that since then Nintendo has not allowed Streaming aps (other then YouTube) as it's all competition for their consumers time. Nintendo doesn't want you streaming House of Cards, they want you playing mother-fucking Warioware and Splatoon for crisake.
I see Gamepass on PlayStation as the same thing. Of course, MS could pony up an aircraft carrier of money to Sony, including a cut on every subscription. They'd be saving a lot of money on not making Xboxes.
My sister used her Wii for Wii Sports, Mario Kart and Netflix for years. Killing the Netflix app didn't cause her to buy more games, though. She bought an Amazon Fire stick instead, lol.
I have a friend who sounds a lot like your sister. Is. She used Netflix on her Wii right up until the day it was no longer supported, and then just picked up some sort of Roku device instead of getting another game system.
FYI Hulu is also on Switch. A couple other streaming services are too. But the big one, Netflix is not for some reason. I suspect It comes down the money one way or the other.
I've always suspected the Wii was a gateway to streaming for low-tech users. Hell even I used my XB1 and PS3/4 for streaming services until I figured out I could use a Chromecast (and now smart TV's).
Wow, Darkstalkers didn't even make the list. I knew the HD remake of 3 from a couple years ago sold poorly, but it must have completely and utterly tanked.

Understandable then.
What Geek was talking about with MS games coming to other platforms, looks like a megatonne announcement is on the way next week. Crikey!
Thanks Robio and Raven. Yeah Dvader brought the goods on that one, I learnt a lot.

I’d love to see sequels to a bunch of Capcom games such as:

Agree on all, except Dead Rising. Hrmmm Dead Rising as top-down 2D would be good.
I was reading this as Darksiders and realized I need to play 2 and 3.
