I also grabbed Treasure of the Rudras. It was the final game that Square made for the Super Famicom. It seems a couple years ago a fan translation came out for it, so I'm checking it out. It's not held in the same level of esteem as a lot of their other non-translated 16-bit games, so I'll be curious to see if it's worth a full playthrough.
Same here. It's been on my radar for ages, but I've got enough of a backlog as is.
Still playing TotK. Finally heading towards the Gerudo desert for the last temple. We also played some Mario Kart 8 with the whole family yesterday. The kid managed to win 2 out of the 8 cups we raced. The wife isn't as good as she used to be, but can still hold her own. And the youngest does ok with all the aids turned on. I let him win from me once, happiest day of his life.
TWENTY: Final Remix adds a new in-game chapter / epilogue that basically sets up the sequel. It also adapts the one-screen modifications for combat that the mobile port Solo Remix used (which overall I did think were an improvement from the original). And it has the usual stuff modern remaster has, a few new enemies, new music, and in this case a couple new pins.
If it was more readily available, I would say get Final Remix, but unless you go digital, it's actually pretty hard to get a hold at a reasonable price. So then the day, I think if you've got the original on DS you're good to go. Though if you have a tablet and you ever see Solo Remix on sale through one of the mobile stores, that's worth picking up if you want to have it available on something other than the DS.
Now it's like Pilotwings with free roaming around to inaccessible locations and collecting cargo. Such a great time waster this game.
Also started fixing up wrecks. I got this old hippie bus from the 60s. Fun stuff.
On the Shores sandbox area on Off the Road Unleashed.
Very rocky compared to the first area. You can fall off the mountain and get caught in crevices. Also sand dune heaven.
Using a buggy to rides the dunes whilst collecting coins is fun.
However there appears to be like one music track in this game on repeat. It's quite a long and varied guitar number but you start to recognise it.
Game gets creative placing collectibles. I had to land my copter on the raised part of a lighthouse then jump out and climb the stairs. Also discovered a parachute for bailing out of flying vehicles or just for jumping off cliffs.
Also rode a crop cutter to get enough straw to level up a farm. Lol having to spit out blocks of straw out the back then hoof it on foot to pick up and load each block individually. Then because of the physics you have to be careful of how you stack things and how you drive.
Also discovered TCs helicopter from Magnum. And unlocked a speed boat. Starting to feel a bit like the island area of Burnout Paradise.
Well is it the best one? I'm getting to the end of 3 I think, it's good but parts piss me off.
Interesting impressions on that game GG, sounds cool.
Robio I need to try NEO one day.
My PC is working flawlessly now, every game runs amazing. VR looks better than ever, HL Alyx looks like a brand new game, I can't believe I played it looking like shit. All set for starfield.
No one here getting Baldurs gate 3? It seems to be exploding. I will get it later in the year after the rush of games, need to take my time with it. Loved DoS2 so I am sure I will love this.
Is it the best? Kinda depends on what you want out of these games. If you want more of a “pure” experience as in very much like the original, then 3 will be your favorite. If you enjoy major changes such as the ability to develop new items (weapons!) and suit upgrades, plus tons of cave exploration like Pikmin 2, then this is your game.
I think this is my favorite of the series because there’s so much to do, new game modes and challenges. I admit that I hesitate to replay it because the beginning is quite the slog, thanks to Nintendo’s innate ability to stop the game every minute for some long explanations that ruin the pacing. Now theres a lot of new stuff to explain, but as usual, I wish Nintendo could ease up on the hand holding.
However, I spent nearly fifty hours with this one which is quite the feat considering how quickly you can play through the previous three. Did I mention that Pikmin sing again?
I’m getting Baldur’s Gate III but got to wait for the PS5 version which comes out next month.
I'm likely getting it too on PS5. My PC is too outdated. The turn-based combat looks fun.
I'd like to play BG3 with my mate, but he only has a PC and my PC is akin to a mouldy potato these days. No cross play, nor would it help as I don't own a PS5 or XS.
This is a gta game in all but name.
If they added some characters and voice acting it would elevate the game. All the core mechanics are there and I'm shocked that this unknown to me team mobile dev made a game this expansive and well thought out.
There are so many little touches where they've gone over and above what I expected. Things like washing mud off your car when entering water. Or your helicopter blowing nearby vegetation, powdery snow coming off the back of your wheels.
There are these exploration flags to look for, there's a full day night cycle and are night these flags have lamp post like lights on the top.
The physics system underpins everything, every bump effects the handling of your car.
The core mechanics work perfectly, the controls for flying is intuitive.
Definetly sounds like the kind of Pikmin I want. My pikmin 3 review is up, not as good as the second.
Whoa, just when I think I know what to expect from this gta like game they start doing something completely unexpected. They started these missions where they construct a precarious structure out of random containers and junk.then they ask you to drive on it.You need god tier skills here as when even 1 wheel goes off the track the physics will drag you down.
It becomes like a puzzle game.
New expansion sounds cool and they included Quake 2 N64 too, which, IIRC, has completely different levels from the PC version.
I’ll give Quake II Remastered a whirl on Game Pass.
The "dark end of a beloved comic book character/team" is practically a cliche these days, thanks to the X-Men's Days of Future Past storyline many years ago. Most of the time they're nowhere near that good, and oftentimes they're not so good (see Transformers: Last Bot Standing... actually don't.) The only real surprise is that it took TMNT 30 years to go there. However, this time the results are outstanding, largely because it's framed with a fantastic mystery.
The idea that they're making a video game adaptation of it intrigues the hell out of me, though having it done under the Nordic/THQ umbrella doesn't exactly inspire me. At any rate, the trailer, while showing nothing of gameplay, is interesting enough that I'm at least convinced somebody has some kind of artistic vision for it. So crossing my fingers it's half as good as the book.

It's Take two so I suspect it will drop to £6 in the next few months.worth it as a portable tax.
BTW Netflix games on your mobile has games like TMNT Shredders Revenge, Oxen free 2 and Spirit farer, Kentucky route 0 etc free to download if you have a video subscription.
Cool shit now my phone screen is the size of two switch OLED screens stacked on top of each other.
