Have you played The Legend of Iowa?
If you thought Legend of Zelda needed meth, this game is for you

Just tried this Splatoon 3 hookshot like sub that turns you into spiderman.
You shoot a Web of ink and zip across and stick to walls like a ninja.
Completely changes the way the plays. This will be deadly in turf wars if its even available there.
So much fun.
Finally got a Zelda title and release date but they are still hiding so much of the game. The best thing is in the mural you see 7 things around a figure, so seven magical items to collect! 7 dungeons?! Oh please please please. Also clearly some time travel stuff, there might be two links.
pikmin 4 is nice, but I need to play 3 which I bought and never played. Bayo 3 gameplay footage is mindblowing!!! What a game, so many new moves! Fire Emblem... I need to play the last 5. No Metroid Prime.
And 1st time it was seamless. I was playing on the switch screen so maybe the smaller screen helped, but I couldn't tell I was playing a cloud game.
It looked native, and slightly better than the Outlast port on switch (which looks excellent)
And for a brief few minutes I thought, I'd this works as well as this (I now have fibre broadband) why even buy a new console?
It's the pricing plan that's wrong. I can't pay full price to play a game on a server that will eventually die.
A monthly rental fee seems more appropriate.
So then I tried some more cloud games. Hitman looks really good with only a slight artifact pattern if you spin the camera too fast.
So I checked out A Plague tale and like before it was low resolution blurry shit. With audio stutters.
Tried The Forgotten City and it looked about Skyrim quality and since its a slow game, cloud won't affect it too much.
Then went back to the RE Village demo and as my Internet dropped and stutters the game slapped me with a warning it was entering low performance mode. And it looked shit.
Maybe with 5G or full fibre broadband at max speed cloud would actually be a good idea with a monthly subscription fee.
Switch has no problem displaying or downloading the data. It's just your Internet that will mess things up. Shame.
It's ridiculous.
How are they selling? I don't read the news much these days?
I can't afford to pay that much for a console. Maybe if it came with a VR headset or something.
1. I guess it's cool to see a new fatal frame game. I've never actually played one of these because of the controls have always been just awful. I wonder if they're finally going to fix that.
2. Oh great, they are remaking the longest, slowest, and arguably most depressing Harvest Moon game....
3. That dodgeball game just looks awful.
4. Octopath 2 makes remember I still haven't touched the first.
5. Rune Factory 3 Special and a new Rune Factory game? Theoretically I should be excited, but it just feels like RF5 came out and I don't think anyone like that one.
6. The additional N64 games look nice. I bet there's a lot of mini games on Mario Party that are going to be a lot easier using a switch controller rather than the old end 64 controller.
7. Various Daylife?? That kind of reminds me of that level 5 game, Fantasy Life. That game was fun for about 10 hours, and after that it got really really repetitive. I wonder if that's the same thing here. Also, it's interesting that S-E is starting to borrow ideas from other companies - rune Factory previously and now fantasy life.
8. Wii/Switch Golf! And it's delayed... Oh well.
9. Shiggy either has a serious filter or makeup job or he got plastic surgery.
10. Pikmin 4 is so long overdue. Glad it's coming.
11. Bayonetta 3 really is just around the corner. That's definitely going to make a lot of people happy.
12. Wow Radiant Silvergun. Didn't see that coming. Nice.
13. Return to Dreamland was a solid multiplayer platformer. It wasn't anything revolutionary, but it was a solid way to spend time with my kids. I'd recommend it.
14. And man, couldn't they have given a little more footage on Tears of the Kingdom? Meh.
Are you talking about their normal retail price or the inflated scalper prices?
That's the one, but no it's not. It was a really nice idea, but it was so freaking slow. Maybe they'll do something to speed up the days in the remake. That alone would go a long way into fixing some of the issues.
Yeah, $1,000 is not right, GG.
Woo! Goldeneye is coming to the Game Pass!
It's also being added for free to Rare Replay, which I own.
Which is also on the Game Pass.
Solid construction. With my old switch whenever I picked it up my finger would either sink into the top vent where its broken or put pressure on the remaining fragile vents.
OLED hinge is solid, screen size is great. Vents are solid.
I wasn't impressed by the screen from the menu. Then I clicked the eshop and by god the colour difference is searing.
Haven't tried a game yet.
Why? Because they don't make it freaking easy to do.
I transferred my system data.
Then I transferred my Animal Crossing data.
I couldn't transfer all the local user accounts I made for additional Animal Crossing houses so I have no idea if my houses will even be there when I turn it on.
I took my micro sd card and put it in the OLED.
It said it can't be used as its linked to the old switch.
Now I have to redownload everything.
And even physical games need all the updates.
This is going to take days to do.
Fuck that!
So you cant just start anything, not even a brand new game?
Upgrading from my PS4 Pro to my PS5, all I had to do was backup all my games onto a USB hard drive, login to my PS5 and then move all the games from the USB hard drive to the PS5's SSD or I could just play them from the USB hard drive. Only the PS4 games that had a free PS5 upgrade had optional downloads
Congrats on the new Switch GG.
Nintendo always making things needlessly difficult.
I managed to play Xenoblade 2 on the screen. Its not the best game to test the screen as its quite low resolution.
Looked decent though, nice colours and even the small screen increase makes a difference.
A bigger screen makes the details easier to see. Screen is very glossy and rounded, good viewing angles.
Tried Animal Crossing. The update took 2 hrs??
Looks good, it's very slightly less sharp but it has a more rounded and colourful look. Things just look more solid.
Glad I upgraded.
The heat vents on the back are now at the very bottom angled away from your hands. So no more hot hands when charging/playing.
Dock has a lot of space so the switch sits very loosely in it. Great to keep the screen scratch free but when I want to change carts, it's easy to knock the unit up very slightly which obviously gives you a moment of TV signal interruption. Might need a thin cushion or something to put in the Dock. Probably won't bother though.
It's taking forever to download updates and my download speed is 28mbps-ish.
I'm wondering if its a problem with the wireless. Might plug in the lan cable.
One cool thing is that obviously some people play the OLED in handheld only, so cheap OLED docks are all over ebay.
I can't actually move anything around in my house!
Tried to move the other accounts. It said I had to link my NNID which I did, but then like some parasitic worm, my ID just overdid the account. Even changing the user name, profile and playtime details to my Gamingeek account.
