Yeah, I'm sorry about that man. It's a frustrating part of the job. I've had a couple false flags with my kids over the years as well. I know we're better off now than we were years before and I wouldn't trade my kids health for anything, but there are definitely times I wish we could just go back to the "rub some dirt on it kid" mentality.

Well, turned out to be a false flag as well.

The hospital we were at doesn't do surgery on children below 8 years old.  They sent us on to another, larger hospital, where they weren't convinced by the echo.  They did a new bloodtest and concluded it was not a problem with the appendix, but rather just the remains of intestinal inflamation, which would also cause vomitting.

So a whole day wasted in hospitals, no work done, but nobody needed to cut open our son and our trip to Disneyland remains on track.  Huzzah.

I wonder how much that Duelsense Edge controller will be. I'll be sticking with my regular one.

Kind of wondering about that myself. Regardless though I’ll stick with my regular one for now as well.

I spoke of how our weekend out fell in the water last week.  We went to a doctor yesterday, more as a precaution as the kid seemed perfectly fine.  She said that if he wasn't completely better by Wednesday we should have an echo done to see if there wasn't anything else wrong.  My wife, always the worrisome type, said we'd just have it done already to be sure.  That was this morning.

I spent half a day in the hospital with a young kid who wasn't allowed to eat or drink as they took blood samples from him and now they want to remove his appendix because it's showing .3mm too wide on the echo while nothing else seems off.

We were going to Disneyland this weekend.  We've been looking forward to it for years.  Bollocks.

Damn son, that was quite a roller coaster ride you took me on there. Glad it all worked out.  Disneyland in California?

Yes, it's surprising how exhausting such a day can be.

And no, California is Disneyworld.   We're going to Disneyland in Paris.  Still great though.

I chuckled at the line 'you can not run forever'.  cheeky

I don't know.  People should expect to be disappointed by now.  It's telling that the new trailer focuses a lot more on linear traversal and less on the open world hub section.  It could go either way between a total letdown and something mildly amusing.

DW is in Florida. DL is in Cali.  I am trying to find a way to get back to Cali in 2023.

Unfortunately, I don't find 3D Sonic games appealing at all. Sonic Adventure 1 was the only exception and I can't go back to it anymore either.

Gary Busey Faces Groping Charges at Cosplay Event

I might have been thought of, because I might have shared a story about Gary Busey doing this before. About 10 years ago he was at the horror convention that I regularly attend here in Orlando. That year would also be his last time attending because he groped Elvira.

This was on a Sunday morning and the promoter kicked him out and he's been banned ever since. Elvira didn't press charges and it was more or less kept quiet. In fact I suspect most people never really even knew what happened, outside of those of us who were in the inner circle so to speak.

Had this happened just a few years later after the me too movement started, I have no doubt it would have made much bigger waves. I also suspect Gary has done this on more than one other occasion as well.

I did a quick image search of him because the name didn't ring a bell.  He seems more at place in a horror convention these days, my god, age and the good life got to him.

Also, I imagine once a groper, always a groper.  He'll just have to grope with the gronsequences of his actions.

Gary was once an immensely talented actor, but in the late 80s he had a motorcycle accident while not wearing a helmet and suffered some severe brain trauma. Throw in some drug abuse and brain cancer ten years later, and honestly it's a miracle the guy can even talk.

Anyway, I'm not excusing anything the guy is done, but I also don't entirely believe his brain processes everything that it needs to. So I think the biggest thing he'll be groping with is not being able to go to comic conventions anymore.

Yeah it’s a shame how things turned out for Gary, enjoyed much of his earlier stuff. Always got him and Nick Nolte mixed up. LOL

First off supreme glad it's seems it's ok.

So they showed some of the traditional levels and they are literally copy paste of older levels, sometimes with a new coat of paint. They are also tiny, not full sonic levels. And they just reuse locations from the last few sonic games. This is beyond pathetic, to just copy paste old shit into your game.

The new open world is at least something different for sonic but I still don't know the appeal. I don't care to have a bunch of slow fights. The world needs to a gigantic epic playground of loops and springs and places to combo and do tricks. This should have been more Tony Hawk, not some ubi open world thing.

Played quite a few games, finished Splatoon DLC which is incredible, better than the campaign, Splatoon needs to become a full action adventure platformer.

I started Mega Man Legends, never played it, figured I should finally play this 3D Mega Man. I can't wait to fight robots and take their skills! Wait, what is this. This game is NOTHING to do with Mega Man, it's just a random game with a guy named Mega Man. Nothing from the main series is present, it's so weird. That said the gameplay is oddly compelling, like some strange Metroid Zelda like early 3D thing.

Finished Doom 64 which was awesome. Playing Doom Eternal DLC which is intense as hell, love it!

I started playing Moss on the Quest 2 this weekend.  Despite having owned a Quest 2 for nearly a year and a half now, this is the first game I've played on it besides 'Keep Talking And No One Explodes'.  The graphics are quite simple, yet clean.  It really is a remarkable experience to be able to peer into these diorama like fairy tale worlds.

I still need to get used to being able to control my character with the joystick while maneouvring my hands.  Whenever I pull, my brain tells my thumb to pull down on the joystick as well, which has resulted in some untimely deaths for my mouse hero.

Bought it for PSVR and never played it. I hardly touched PSVR. I should play it one day.
