This weekend I finished getting all the achievements in Elden Ring. Played some Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition and some more Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
I've been playing Paper Mario SWITCH (pacing not satisfactory)
Wall Street Kid NES (reviewing on next podcast)
Kirby Forgotten Land SWITCH, (focussing on Paper Mario first, but wish I was playing this).
Fatum Betula - PC (reviewing on next podcast).

Yeah it’s pretty disappointing how Square-Enix did this remaster of Chrono Cross. Still enjoying the game for the game itself and happy just to have it on current gen systems but man I really wished that they had given it the TLC that it deserves.
Is it worth playing on the original hardware? I think I've started it a couple of times and not stuck with it (but that was a long time ago).

I tried going back to the original a year or two ago, and I found it kind of difficult to play even with my Rose colored glasses on.
The soundtrack is still as good as it gets, and hunting down team members is always a lot of fun. If you showed me a picture of the game, and then a picture of someone who just puked up a bowl of fruity pebbles, it would take me a minute to figure out which was which. It also suffers from some major menu problems. With that many characters, you tend to switch their spell slots with each other when you trade them out, and that can be a nightmare.

Yeah. Pretty much this. I absolutely love the game, it’s one of my all time favourites, but yeah it’s pretty rough trying to play it now especially if you have no prior experience with it. I tend to find those early 3D games ie. PlayStation 1 and N64 games can be very rough and difficult to return to these days.

You are reminding me of a period of life where I played or watched my wife play hundreds and hundreds of hours of PS1 era RPGs.
This weekend I jumped back into Sunset Overdrive. I'm enjoying it, but there sure are a lot of fetch quests.
I haven't felt like playing anything this weekend. Fighting an allergy cold instead.
EDIT: I'm watching someone livestream Castlevania 2 on YT.

Yep. I agree, the pacing is wrong. Good chr customization though.
Hope you feel better soon.

Sonic 2 movie cost $90 million USD. That's insane.
On another note, it never surprises me how many people unironically wear cowboy hats in Texas.

You know, aspro just made a thread about this exact thing.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileI just picked up Detective Di the silk rose murders which got good reviews.
And Guard Duty, both are adventure games.
Roki turned out better than I expected, really nice game.
What's ironic about wearing a cowboy hat?
Perfect.
