I'm just not much of a podcast person.

Despite it being on Game Pass, I went ahead at bought Rare Replay for $7.49, which is a crazy good deal. Grinning

I also bought SSX 3 (original Xbox) for $9.99. I haven't played this game in years. It plays and looks beautiful on XSS. Happy

More sales are up on the Switch eShop. 2,033 here in Canada. Oh god! I hate scrolling through them all. I damn well better not see that Splatoon 2 in there! angry

Best to close any software so it doesn't bog down the sales search too much.

Also I recommend buying now, downloading later. Just cancel the download. The purchase remains valid and you can download when you actually want to play it.

I'm mulling over Doom and The Witcher 3. Probably won't get either as I have too much to play.

Anyone see the rock star apology for GTA definitive edition? They gave pc owners the original pc versions for free. They committed to improving and patching the shit out of the definitive edition. The first patch is out, with marginal improvements.

Started Valley, it was like £2.50 in the sale. Seen it recommended a few times on sales videos.

You're dropped into a scenic valley, given this power suit and you can run and jump about like a superhero.

It's got music that sounds like Final Fantasy or a Fairytail episode. Bright sunshine, it's quite satisfying. The switch graphics are very low resolution, compared to similar games like Skyrim or Monster Hunter Rise.

So I'd check it out on other systems. Still very early, wonder if there's any meat to the game.

Update on Valley. You can bring trees and dead creatures back to life. Or drain them. There's an interesting mechanic, when you die the life drains out the valley as you respawn. You then have to collect energy and bring things back to life.

The game has turned into a first person platformer. Almost reminds me of Metroid Prime with far looser controls and no interconnected rooms. It's just a large open environment.

The atmosphere is great and music cheers you up. It's a great kind of refreshing breeze to turn your brain off for.

I would still say don't get the switch version as the texture resolution is too low.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody. You're all welcome to come over for breakfast if you'd like. I'm cooking for about 10 people, and I have three.

I don't think I can keep Game Pass long term. I just downloaded Morrowind, Obivion and Gears of War 1. Too many games! ARGH! Thankfully, they are small games. Maybe once the newness wears off, I'll calm down a bit and stop jumping from game to game so much. Happy

I want to play Skyward Sword and KOTOR too!

Yep, way too many games and you end up trying a lot of them in small chunks. If youd like a multiplayer partner, then hit me up.

I never had that problem. I'd just download one game at a time and complete it before downloading something new.

I was of the same opinion with PlayStation Now and their offerings were quite weaker in comparison. Still, it's hard to commit to finishing a game when you have a service like that. The moment you reach a dull or difficult part, it's just too easy to say "I'm going to try something different just for a little while, but I'll come back to it." And then I never do...

You're just jealous of the special thing going on between Splatoon and me. The ink, the tentacles,... You'll never experience gameplay so deep and satisfying.
