I have a feeling that having Game Pass is really going to impact my purchasing, at least for the next little while. There’s so many games that I’m bouncing around trying to play right now that it’s just too difficult to justify me purchasing anything right now. Things will probably settle down as I get caught with all the games but that may take awhile.
. . yet.
Gamingeek is living up to his name. I love it.
Completed Darkestville Castle. Its a graphic adventure very much in the same vein as classic Lucasarts comedies. I found it highly entertaining. When you go to the last third of the game though, you enter the underworld. And here there are too many logic jumps, combine rubber crab to make explosives?? And a couple of annoying item chains, trade this for that with no hint as to what you should go for. In fairness to the game there are two books you obtain which you're supposed to read through to proceed and because there was random junk interspersed I didn't bother. The final boss "fight" was a touch irritating as he chases you from room to room so you only have limited time in each room. It's a shame as you are presented with multiple new rooms you want to explore and investigate but you can only look at 3 items at a time before being shifted to the next room. You can go back to them, but it's still annoying. Anyhow, good game overall, I'd definitely replay it. It's like a Nightmare before Christmas, you play as this Jack Skellington type character, who first wrecks the town, then has to save it. Voice acting, art and music is excellent. Controls are simple and well worked. Definitely one to pickup if you like graphic adventures. There's a demo on steam and Switch, try it out.
Tried Sundered last night, art and music is awesome and the controls are tight. Looking forward to this one. Briefly tried Mark of the Ninja Remastered, seems great too.
Started It Takes two, wow it's brilliant, still early on but it has that LBP like feeling of wonder and fun. I also bought FF7 Yuffie, will start that soon. Decided to play SOTN again, so good. And I am in the middle of silent hill downpour the one in the series I never played... ehhh.
Back to Tetris99!
If you can get through that though, there really won't be anything else stopping you in the game. Maybe one or two other segments will give you trouble, but those are easier to learn from your mistakes and figure out.
I really got hooked on The Messenger this past weekend. Pretty cool Ninja Gaiden type of game, the NES Ninja Gaiden games that is.
The Witcher 3 is 7.99 on the ps store.
Buy it, GG. The Witcher is worth it
