Well I'm quite pleased with this one all the same. Just having a party going on at night makes them a lot cooler. I really like these bonus stages too. Nice way to mix things up.

My splatfest news reel just declared Robio scored a win for team star. High five!

Oh it makes those kinds of announcements? Cool. I kept seeing how the super mushroom team scored a giant hundred point multiplier win but that's really the only announcement I saw. Anyway, yeah I'm pretty amazing.

Have you tried the Octo Expansion or Salmon Run? I pretty much switched exclusively to Salmon run after a few months.

No not yet. I'm probably going to be putting Splatoon down for a little while, so I can focus on games with a little more of a narrative. But when I inevitably go back to it I'll check out the expansion pack then.

Ugh. I'm not doing well on the special splatfest stage. Can't seem to figure it out. And whenever I do seem to get going my team screws up.

You know there is something to be said for keeping games simple. I started up Control this morning I thought I would play the DLC missions. there's a lot going on in this game that I had forgotten about. Besides a fairly complex control layout, there are items to craft, upgrades to weapons and abilities, and hundreds of collectibles that make up the story's lore. And I can't figure any of this crap out. I can't even just play the opening 30 minutes of the game for a tutorial, because they roll out the abilities throughout the course of the game. It's been less than a year and I almost feel like a stranger as far as how to play the game.

So it looks like I'm going to replay it....

This is on my to play list as well.  It's been added to GamePass, so there's no excuse not to play through it (other than Tetris99, finishing A Plague Tale first, MH Iceborne, etc. etc.).

Luckily for me I have not started this yet and thus have also not forgotten anything about it yet.  I am looking forward to not being reminded of my ever increasing age when I finally get around to this.

Well gents, what are we playing this weekend? I've spent a big chunk of my weekend with the splatfest on Splatoon 2. That'll probably be the last time I play this for a while. Now that my back is functioning again I think I'm going to move back to Ring Fit Adventures for my Switch gaming.

And I'm also starting over with control. Sonic got that going for me.

Also may I just say that Splatfests apparently draw out the absolutely shittiest players in the world.

Yeah more or less, though I did have one good streak today where my team won six matches in a row. We weren't that good though. No reason that streak should have happened. We just went up against groups of dumbasses one after another.
