Looking forward to the nightmarish platforming section. Can't believe we haven't had a section that relies on the double jump becoming available again after hitting an enemy. So much potential for chaining double jumps above an abyss.
I've also not encountered anything that seems like added on DLC content. I found one key that could or could not lead to this and haven't headed out to the colloseum of Foolz.
I also refrained from dream-nailing innocent lingering spirits, as it didn't seem right. I was expecting this choice to impact the ending somewhat, but that doesn't seem to be the case at all.
I saw the boss keys YouTube channel video on hollow knight (you shoul all watch these videos on the level design of Zelda and Metroid games, amazing) and it showed how hollow knight might be the best designed metroidvania ever, it's a masterpiece. So many paths to take, so many optional bosses and areas to explore. It's genius. What a game.
I played a co-op game with my partner this weekend. It involved a long planning fase to prepare the mission in detail with a stealth element, having to keep certain aspecs under wraps, performing under pressure and a lot of time management. I can say we managed to get an 'S' rank with possitive feedback across the board, and can now truthfully call my wife my wife.

On a slightly related note: I read an article about how turkey farms in the UK were planning on putting their turkey's on a diet as to prevent them from being too large for what is expected to be a corona impacted holliday season in which people will be forced to celebrate with just a few friends or relatives.
I've started the hunt for essence in Hollow Knight. I've done all the dead warriors, so I'm tackling the dream bosses (the ones you innitiate by hitting them with the dream nail). Yesterday I defeated Grey Zote and the False Knight.
I find that I perform better in boss battles if I don't overthink it and just let my reflexes kick in. Stop focusing on getting hits in and approach it more like a schmup where it's all about your brain just keeping track of all the places where it's not safe to stand.
Re5 is back on Sheva is terrible. Literally runs ahead of you to steal ammo. Uses ammo you store with her and equips it herself so you can't take it back. Stands in front of your aim. Runs ahead of you jostling for position to get the most screen time. Cannot hit shit with a sniper ammo. And wastes any ammo you give her.
