I'm playing the trials of Mana demo I haven't really played a ton of 3D Square Enix games but I don't quite understand why the presentation is very childlike. Like a nursery story and the voice acting is horrific. It feels very similar to the Dragon Quest 11 demo too.

I would like to second that, "you son of a..."
I understand the complaint for Trials of Mana. That series always had a bright and colorful feel, and leaned a little towards the cutesy side in its 16 and 32 bit days. so it made sense for them to return to something similar for this game. However, I hadn't really heard any complaints about the voice acting, aside from Charlotte. And later in the game, they sort of give a reason for it, though it still doesn't stop it from being extremely annoying. In fact, I remember one reviewer said he restarted the game midway through just so he wouldn't have to listen to her talk anymore.
I can't imagine how it could feel anything like Dragon Quest 11 though. Truth be told, with your love of anime, I thought you would have immediately loved Toriyama's artwork come to life. The main character aside, who is pretty weak, the characters are among some of the best he's done in the series.
I like the artwork. But the cutscenes/story and horrendously childish voice acting is painfully dull. Even condescending. It feels like the actors are putting on a play for toddlers.
So the legal battle between Epic and Apple wages on. Microsoft has stepped in in suport of Epic, claiming that denying Unreal Engine access to iOS would disrupt the whole industry. The Judge has followed this, rolling back Apple's ban of Unreal Engine as it would harm non-parties, but has kept the ban of selling Fortnite on iOS in place, citing that this whole situation seems a result of Epic's own doing.
But is it a 'new' Switch, or simply a new itteration, like the Switch Lite, that is slightly more powerfull?
I personally think Nintendo has nothing to gain from releasing an upgraded model that is not the next generation, unless they fear that they won't be able to duplicate the Switch's succes in which case they might try prolonguing the lifespan of this generation to extract as much dollars from it as they can.
But is it a 'new' Switch, or simply a new itteration, like the Switch Lite, that is slightly more powerfull?

I'm not buying it. Rumors of a more powerful Switch have been floating around for over a year. They've got their piece of the market locked up and will continue to do so well into next year. There's no reason to do anything that could split it.
It's a stop gap to make them seem like they have something new for the launch of new consoles and so they can keep the price at $300. What I hate is that obviously they are holding back all games for this new "launch", nothing this year, animal crossing is selling enough for them. So I assume zelda 2 launch game.
Finally played Streets of Rage 4, wow! Is this the best beat em up ever made, it's everything SoR 2 was and more. Take all the best of SoR 2, the music, the great enemies, the great combat and add a super attack with a genius health regen system that adds a huge layer of strategy to a game that was rather simple. The super attack takes away your health, in most games that health is just gone meaning you don't use that skill much. But here that lost health has a chance to be recouped if you attack enemies and don't get hit. If you are hit you lose all that health you lost on top of whatever damage you take. It rewards skill and allows the super attack to be used strategically. It's so great. The music, levels, enemies, bosses, move sets all top of the line. Superb game.
Contrast that to Battletoads... wtf. I didn't play much but it's Ike a bad adult swim cartoon that has some poor gameplay segments in between.
I'm saddened by the DC games, both GaaS games, multiplayer focused. We went from the best superhero games ever, amazing action adventure games to games chasing a tired boring genre. Avengers is going to fail for the same reason.
Yeah I’m kind of sceptical about there being a Switch Pro coming next year as I think that they would better served just to go straight to a Switch 2 in 2022. The Switch is going pretty strong so maybe they want to hold off from a next gen system for a little longer though.
I don’t necessarily dislike GaaS games, it all depends on how they’re executed. Gotham Knights looks pretty good. Not sure about Suicide Squad but that game isn’t set to release until 2022. What the hell have Rocksteady been doing for all this time? Sheesh. Having said that though these types of games can be a huge time commitment and I’m not really that big of a DC fan. I’m much more into the Marvel side of things so I may just stick with Marvel’s Avengers. Tried the beta on Xbox One and it was kind of fun.

Avengers beta was fine but that's it, I've played a game like that before. Yeah they nailed playing Iron Man and the others. But the RPG aspect starts to ruin the illusion when Black Widow can have a higher strength stat than Hulk.

I never could get into the Battletoads myself. They always seemed like a “trying too hard to be cool” ripoff of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which I guess was the point. I was much more a fan of TMNT. Watched some gameplay of the new Battletoads game and the gameplay seems “ok” but I just can’t get past that art style. Yuck.
