Our eldest is going to partake in a Minecraft daycamp next week. We were very late to book something for this last week of august, and there were only a few camps available still.
Anyhow, this also requires that we own a JAVA version of the game, which I've been trying to purchase for the better part of this week. I keep getting an error after succesfully entering my credit card data. They better not be charging me for every 'failed' attempt.
With how successful Animal Crossing is continuing to be, we'll never see a new Nintendo game again, as it will never stop selling like it's new!
It's definitely opressive. I don't think it's that hard if you play on the easier settings, but it's still a bit more difficult than the average FPS on normal, I suppose.
the gas mask thing sounds bothersome. Mostly because of scouring about in the dark looking for batteries in Outlast. Is it a constant concern?

I saw those camps advertised online. My son would've loved to do that.
I'm now in the mine of Re4 heading towards the double ogre boss. Game has got better and better. I've stopped playing Jake in re6 cause I can't stop Re4. BTW it looks best on switch off screen as its closer to the games original resolution. Blowing it up to 1080p on a giant 4ktv is overkill and shows up the low res textures. Really graphically impressive, I had forgotten what a powerhouse this was back in the day. There are billowing curtains before cloth physics were a thing. Moving hair, floor reflections, moving light sources like swinging lanterns. Heat distortion, fire effects that still look great. Mist, fog, rain. So good.
I may have to dust off RE4. actually, let me correct that thought. I may need to buy a new copy of RE4. I got rid of the GameCube version years ago, and I believe Wii version was destroyed in the great ice skating incident of 2010.

Bought a Honda Civic last weekend to replace my Volkswagon Tiguan, then yesterday my Nissan Patrol got a $7,000 mechanical problem out of the blue, so byebye Patrol!
Anyone start watching the new Netflix series High Score -- it's by the Toys that Made Us People.
I am about 4 episodes in, and they have done a very good job, but for anyone already versed in video game history it is dull. I have not learnt a single new thing yet.

I have the Wii and GC version, prefer the Wii one.
No onto more important topics, please remind me of the great ice skating incident of 2020. And does it involve cosplay?

Are you really not going to tell us that story?
Probably involves a slipped disc... see what I did there, get it.... slipped DISC. LOL ROFL LMMO (Laughed my mask off)

I've forgotten the incident that led to Hobogamer being used as a meme here. It had something to do with Carnage saying Vader dug games out of a trash bag or something?

That's it. Something about if he wanted to go digging for games then go ahead. Ice skating may have been involved. Hobo gamer was born.
I've shared this story a couple times over the years. Basically when my son was three or four years old, he learned that if you put a CD or DVD on carpet you could slide on them.
So I'm working from home, and in my office next to his playroom, listening to him watch cartoons, and bumping around and laughing. I have no idea what's actually going on, But he's occupying himself unusually well and I'm actually getting a lot of work done so I don't think much of it.
Eventually I do go check on him and in the course of 30 to 45 minutes he has carpet skated on over half of my game library and numerous movies. Most of the discs are scratched to hell and are unplayable.
It was at this moment I became a proponent of digital gaming, and started diving into how to hack your Wii and start backing up games.

But not as hard as playing against the Japanese on Splatoon.
Not if you play on the easier difficulty settings. It's also confined to certain areas.

Time to go car shopping.

" The Witcher 2 is $5 on Xbox One"
Still too expensive.
Hobogamer returns.

That did not disappoint.
