I’ve played some Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, Gears 5, and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening this long weekend.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! 🦃

I always thought Link was an asshole. He barges into people's house uninvited, smashes their pots and steals their money.

No, it's a cultural thing. Everybody does those things in Japan. True story.

Indeed. I was in people’s houses smashing pots and barrels in Dragon Quest XI. It’s just something that everyone does there.

I've been getting to the bottom of the mysterious happenings which all started out with me cheating with that blonde temptress a week ago.  I've been climbing for my life in my dreams every night since.  I've made a breakthrough and think I know how I can stop this madness for ever, for everyone, but it will take more effort than I was expecting at first.  I hope to see the end of this today or tomorrow though...

yes  Have a cookie!

It's been a game I've always wanted to play since I first came to know of it.  Having never owned a PS3 or X360, having it playable through BC on Xbone was more reason than I needed to track it down and play it.

So far it's living up to expectations, which is more than I could have hoped for.  The difficulty is a bit uneven, as I find the latter levels to be much more straightforward than some of the more complex sections in the middle portion of the game.  Truely enjoying playing through it and once I've finished it I'll definitely return to it later on for a second playthrough to see how your answers impact the actual story.

The difficulty in the levels of Catherine is truly bizarre. I think it was the third or fourth night, but one of those two was by far the hardest part of the game.

And there are like 6 endings in the original and at least twice that in the remaster. Most of that is affected by what you do in the bar more than anything if I'm not mistaken.

I bought and played quite a bit of the 1981 arcade game Scramble.

I also played a fair amount of the arcade original 1983 Mario Bros.

Both on Switch.

The Witcher 3 Switch Digital foundry verdict is in and it sounds great. Myself I'm very impressed with the RE6 demo. Less so with the RE5 demo.

But as evert the true question is 'would you pay full price for it?'
Me? I doubt it.

I'd probably avoid it for ages. I play about 4 games a year now. I think I'll get 3 games as presents for Christmas. Zelda, Fire Emblem and Astral Chain. I might never play Witcher 3.

Good choices. What about Luigi's Mansion 3 and Pokemon?

I am going to wait for the annual buy something get something off games deal to come around to get Luigi and Pokemon, hopefully get astral chain then.

So im playing Shenmue HD, what a weird game, its so great. The voice acting so so bad its good, the way Ryo is oblivious to everything around him and just asks the same question over and over. There are whores on the street and they are all like "come to the bar and lets have fun", "do you know the way to the barber shop"

Getting some VR time in with Blood and Truth which is a fun take on the light gun game but with crazy production values and an action movie story. But coming from rift controllers to move is rough. There is that mega VR game that just hit Asgrad's Wrath, its a full fledged VR excluisve action adventure game, 40 hours long. I'll get it when I have time.

Death Stranding is with reviewers, I am in full hype mode. Only a few weeks away from the next Kojima masterpiece!!!

Did you play Shenmue on the Dreamcast back in the day? That game was amazing at the time, even though it's flawed as all hell. Really made you feel like you were there.

I'm about halfway through RDR2, & so far I wholeheartedly agree with the users on this one. It's beautiful for sure, but not the most exciting game I've ever played & I've yet to come across anything that had blown me away. A 97 is insanity.

Not the first time I've experienced this with a Rockstar game. GTA4 comes to mind. They tend to be critical darlings.

Playing the RE5 and 6 demos on switch got me back into Revelations 2. I didn't realise how close I was to the end. I'm on the final chapter now. I was labouring around the part with conveyer belts and moving crates about. Motion controls makes it so much better, I really hope re5 and 6 get gyro controls patched in.

I'm buying Luigi myself, I tend to get games I see as more straightforward and easier to play. I might swap out Fire Emblem for new Pokemon.

Funnily enough the RE6 demo being set in Hong Kong reminded me of Shenmue 2.

I'm thinking of getting LM3 on release myself. I loved the original on the GC, but never got around to playing the sequel. Then again, I have enough of a backlog as is.

I'm definitely getting it at launch.  The first one was the best launch game of the GC era and the second was fantastic as well.
