I've mostly been playing Zelda BotW

I also downloaded latest version of GZDoom and copied all of my Doom, Heretic, and Hexen WAD files over from Steam. Looks and plays so much better now in widescreen HD and with modern mouse support.

I bought Little Nightmares over Unruly Heroes by virtue of it being the game that was most reduced in price (albeit still the more expensive of the two)

Afterwards I wanted to play some more Mutant Year Zero, but got stuck early on. I figured that, having beaten Mario v Rabbids, I'd have the hang of this Xcom fair. That game never threw a cocktail of reinforcement calling foes and bots that can revive them at you, where each has more health than you can do damage per turn.

After my third feeble attempt I wanted to play some Splatoon, but my Internet connection decided it didn't want to play along and I had to give up on it.

So I returned to the Xbone, with a mind to start Sea of Thieves so I could hit the ground running for when we'd start playing it with 3 people in a week or two. But of course those plans were foiled when it appeared I needed to update the game, which I had only downloaded 14 days ago, with a 4.5Gig download.

After that I just watched some Netflix.  Hrm

I just finished Turok 3.

It was OKay. Not BAD, but certainly not the classic the first two were. It does get better as the game goes on though, so I have to give it credit for that. Also one of the best looking N64 games for sure.

Nipping away at Nier Automata.

I gotta say...so far I'm finding this game a bit bland and boring. It's got a cool premise & setting...but IDK....it just feels a bit lifeless and B team level to me. I hope it gets more interesting. I know it got rave reviews & people love it.

Also back into Kingdom Hearts 2. Beat the Pirates level....man that level was annoying as all hell with the invincible enemies in the shadows crap.

Team Chaos won. What a splatfest. I'll miss it. BTW I accidentally entered a clam blitz match and ended up playing for 2 hrs. It's so good. A bit like a football game. You collect coins, smash the ball in the basket and lob in shells. It's so satisfying in extra time when you win with one final charge.

My computer is baaaaaaack

"thank you" video for Splatoon 2 final Splatfest players

I shed a tear. What a game.

Splatoon 2 - Splatfest Tee Replica comes with ver 5.0.0 Shellendorf Institute getting renovated

The splatfest t-shirt comes with the ability doubler. I wonder how I will exploit this? Triple speed x2? Triple special charge x2?

GG, did you read that ver. 5.0 will allow for players to create their own splatfests of sorts? I wonder how that'll work. Hope it will not only be for friends. I already proposed that Euroagmer use custom Splatfests to inquire and poll their readership concerning planned changes.  Grinning

I tried ordering the set of 3 Splatoon2 posters, which you could get with Platina nintendo points. No clue how you attain them, but apparently I had enough. Ordered the set and when I needed to pay it prompted me to trade in my coins for a voucher at mynintendo. Apparently the vouchers are already out of stock.  Hrm

Astral Chain is looking and sounding like it should be a pretty excellent game. Getting hyped for it.

So much sexual innuendo in this post I don’t know where to start.

from what I read they're making all the special shifty station stages available via private battles.

Don’t you dare release a new switch so soon, that would be stupid. Next year is for the new super consoles, I don’t need some lagging behind Nintendo system at the same time. Switch is fine the way it is for a few more years.

I don’t like the idea of a Switch 2 after only about three and a half years after the current one was released.  Just release some killer games.

I seriously doubt that they’ll release a Switch 2 next year along with the new Zelda but I can totally see them releasing a Switch Pro along with the new Zelda game next year.

I view the Switch as basically being the "Wii U Pro" since, well, IMO that's exactly what it was. They're both consoles made for this current generation we're still in. One flopped hard even though it was really neat, which led to them being forced to come out with something new much sooner than they would have. I mean if Wii U had sold PS4 numbers, we would still be gaming on Wii U. Even if it sold Xbox One numbers.

I don't think there's any chance they release a Switch 2.0 next year, because it would get overshadowed by the new machines. I would say Nintendo waits until at least late 2021 and releases an entirely new console. So two more years of Switch which gives it pretty much a full cycle.

I agree with the above statement.
