Just listened to the GU podcast.  I want to let it be known that I have seen no tissue elevators in this part of the world.  Also 'dual access tissue box' sounds very dirty.

Pooyan is on the Switch eShop! POOYAN! Grinning That is a great early 80s arcade game that I never expected to get released on a modern console.

Also Virtua Racing on Switch is fantastic!  It even has optional gyro controls. 👍

Got a new email from Shenmue 3, and great news for anybody who wanted the game on Steam.

....Actually, it's not great news. Basically, they said with much consideration & talks with all parties involved, they're still not giving anyone a refund. You can either take a physical PC disc that's completely useless because all it has on it is an installer for Epic...or switch to a PS4 version....or wait a year for it to release on Steam.

I've always had the PS4 version from the start, but man I would be pissed if I wanted it on Steam. This is the kind of thing that will make PC players completely avoid Kickstarter backing from here on out.

Just read about this cool game on eurogamer: Radio Commander.  You're in the Vietnam war and you have to command your troops from the relative safety of your base.  With no visual of the battlefield, or no way of directing them other than through voice commands.  You need to request them for intel, order them to engage and then wait it out in hopes that some will still be alive to report back to you.  Also, this controller:

Definitely realistic then.

I was surprised when I saw the trailer for it because I thought it would look horrible but once they cleaned out with the Jaggy lines it looks quite nice. Purposely stylistic.

UPS always asks me if I want a receipt. Maybe they're cheaper in England.

And the drop off locations here are shady corner shops. One time a very expensive package of mine wasn't delivered to my house. It was then left at the local collection point. Some dodgy Turkish grocery. All the packages were left out in the shopping aisles and anyone could have taken it.

LOL

WTF? Yeah I would not be happy with that. Crazy. Here they only leave packages at the actual UPS Store if they don't leave it at your house.

I think my PS4 Pro is shitting the bed.

Over the past month I've noticed it not wanting to play certain games, while others boot up just fine. At first I chalked it up to a dirty disc, but then it started happening with brand new games...now more and more. Fuck me...I really don't want to have to buy a new one a year away from an upgrade.

Tried using a blu ray cleaner disc in it, tried flipping it sideways...hard reboot....etc. Fuuuck. Hopefully it stays semi-working as it is now for a while.

Bloodstained works fine...tried playing Resident Evil 7 today and it won't even boot up. Prey will work, but I have to load it 2 or 3 times. It's like game by game. Really weird.

That sucks. Yeah you don’t really want to have to get another PS4 Pro when the PS5 could be just around the corner.

That does suck but maybe you could at least download the newer games to keep you from plunking down money on a new machine.  That’s what I ended up doing with the Wii U when it wouldn’t play discs.

I actually thought of that...just getting digital copies if it stops playing physical. But I do prefer having physical....eh, it's a tough choice.

I ended up getting RE7 to work. Cleaned the disc off, which was in mint condition mind you....but I noticed it had these odd streaks across the disc. Not scratches, but streaks...like there was something in the system being smudged on the discs. I've seen it on a few others too. Cleaned it and now it's working. No idea what it could be. There's been no kids or pets near the system to do anything to it.

If it ends up getting worse I'll have to take it apart and see what's up.

I saw this. Nota fan of the art style they chose. Seems very low effort. Maybe everything will look better in motion.

At any rate I'm glad people who haven't had the chance to play it can get it, but I'll probably pass. I spent hundreds of hours with this gen of Harvest Moon and I've retired from it I think. I picked up HM64 on the Wii U shop last year and just couldn't make it more than a few hours until I had to hang it up.

Just got the Master Sword in BOTW. What a pain in the ass.

It's a great game, the art style and detail is second to none & the things they did with the tech is prettty incredible. Controls and general game play feel better than they've ever felt in Zelda. But I do agree with Vader on this one. As great as it is, it also lacks many of the things that typically make Zelda what it is. And it also falls into the same traps that every open world game does.

These fucking shrines...good god. Enough is enough. After seing the 500th blue particle screen followed by corpse man giving me my orb, it's just not fun anymore. Poor substitute for actual real dungeons.

Getting stuck somewhere you can't move in a rain storm because you can't climb & can't set a fire to pass time. Yeah, eat a dick.

Luckily, after like 75 hours of play, I think I've gotten most of the filler out of the way & now I can focus on the main questline.

I had Steamworld Dig 2 crash on me yesterday.  So much for the power of the Xbone  Hrm  What makes it even worse is that it was during what I felt was a low point for the game, in which the gameplay drastically differs from your average play session, and now all progress in that area was lost.  Bah.
