I’ve been playing Octopath Traveler and am really enjoying it. Finished Chapter 1 for 7 of the 8 characters.
I've been playing Borderlands The Pre-Sequel and Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix, about halfway through both of them.
I thought something was wrong with Pre-Sequel because it took me until now to get anyone to join my game. Then suddenly a few hours ago I had a full 4-man co-op session going, which was nice. These games actually feel a lot like Destiny when playing co-op. And KH is bringing back tons of memories...I haven't played the game since way back at release on the PS2. Amazing how much time has passed, and that I actually remember much of the game and things I was doing at the time.
Screwing around with other things too but that's the main attractions right now.
How is SP? Another game I've been wanting to get for awhile. I loved the first one, and I'm not even a huge fan of the show.
Very much like the first which I loved. The humor is great.
Wtf?
You never seem satisfied with Nintendo's hardware and you barely seem to buy (or play) any of the big games that are released on them. It's a legit question.
To me it seems retarded to keep wasting money on consoles just to play like, a couple of games? Didn't you say you only owned one Switch game or something? Just move on.
I've stopped buying multiple consoles cause I can't be arsed keeping up anymore. Bugs has given up gaming. If you aren't getting gaming gratification from Wii/U/Switch just fuck em and bail out. Endless repeated monologues on why you personally think something is shit, is like banging a drum near your co-workers ear drum everyday. We know already. Not trying to cause an argument or anything, it's not meant to sound aggressive.
IMO, don't like it, don't buy it. You've been through the gaming generation cycles enough to know by now, especially with Nintendo.
Miiverse was great. You would never get stuck in a game anymore. Just take a screen grab and usually within 30 mins someone (or multiple people) would post the solution for you.
Love this game. Have your been to Flamegrace catherdral or Atlasdam? It looks so amazing.
It's one of the most beautiful looking games I ever played. I have 5 characters now and the battles are getting more intense and satisfying. I love how you can strategise and multiply peoples attacks to be like 6x stronger and pile everything into one decisive blow. Also the little voice sample battle quips are hilarious.
They always base them on the character like the exotic dancer says "Watch me now!" before unleashing a devastating attack. Or the Cleric says "You should have studied harder" after he demolishes someone. H'aanit's dialogue when spoken at the start of battles is hilarious.
I'm finding Primrose a bit useless in battles at the moment as none of the recent enemies are weak against daggers and she doesn't have a second weapon type. Therions thief skills are a bit useless in battle too.
Just finished the last character’s chapter 1 last night and Atlasdam was the last place I was at. I too love the look of this game. I really dig the way the lamp you carry around in the dungeon areas casts light around inside.
There’s also some really good bits of humour in the game as well. I laughed out loud at this one squirrel like enemy had an attack called, “These Nuts”.
I also used the Inquire skill on a guard dog and in the descriptive text it had a reference to Samuel Jackson’s character from Pulp Fiction saying that the dog would bring revenge upon its enemies with furious anger.
I haven’t used Primrose in awhile but when I did use her it was mainly for the dark magic spell. I mostly use Therrion in towns to steal items from people.
Whatever. All I said was I don't get why some of their systems are so much more popular than others. Especially when they all have the same franchises for the most part. I'd be saying the same thing if the sales of every Playstation fluctuated wildly.
I'll buy more switch games at some point.
EDIT: I played just about every major game that they came out with on Wii/U. I only just got the Switch back in October. So I have no idea what you're talking about.
Actually aside from the Wii each of Nintendo’s home consoles has sold less the the previous system. I think that the reason that the Wii bucked this trend is mostly due to catching on with the casual market because they got hooked on the whole “newness” of the Wii-mote feature.
Definitely. But the Switch is getting that same buzz that the Wii got. I was mainly talking about how since the Gamecube the sales have been so up and down, it's bizarre when you take into account it's the same must have franchises on each console generation, for the most part.

I would have asked the guy who dressed up as Pyramid Head to take a pic with me.
I think the casual market that the Wii tapped into is different then the market that the Switch is tapping into. For the Wii we’re talking about soccer moms and the like, the ultra casual audience that watches Oprah who also was integral in spreading the hype. They just ended up moving on to something else. For the Switch it’s the portability factor and Nintendo has always performed very strong in the portable market.
I can see that. Kind of like having the handheld and home console segments rolled into one.
Shenmue 3 pic....best one I've seen:
Yup that looks great for Shenmue. Its happening!
I finished Dak Souls 2 scholar of first sin, with all DLC. Still the worst Souls game, changes didnt help.

Miiverse and Splatoon online interaction we're also very interesting. Essentially, a Dark Soulsian/Twitter type experience that managed to kill two birds with one stone as it was both unique and fun, but also not too interactive to cause parents concern for their kids.
The issue was with the hardware. While the concept of a screen on the controller can be appealing, it is very nice outside of people who have roommates or are able to game at work.
The console itself also looked ugly. Like it was a devkit and not an actual system. And let's not even get started on the name, as the Wii brand was long dead by the time it launched.
I'm really curious how the Wii U will be seen ten years from now.
The Wii actually did pick up some traditional core gamers initially. This is why Red Steel and Resident Evil 4 sold so well. The problem is that they all of them eventually abandoned ship due to the
wasteland of mass market games geared towards them on the system.
But yes, the Switch seems to be taking the PlayStation route of "targeting the general gaming public" more than anything else.

That Japanese Manga artist who purchased too many copies of Octopath Traveler is probably a scalper.
