Yeah this tablet, because micro sdcards are quite delicate and flimsy they can't have you push too hard to put them in. So the spring eject device can often send these things flying at the slightest touch, sometimes without you realising it. Then the cards are so small and light they often just disappear or more likely have been vaccuumed up.
So I restarted Octopath Traveler as the same character as the first demo to refresh my memory as Primrose's story was the best I experienced after trying 4 of the 8 charactesrs. Shocking how easy the first boss was. In the demo they made him like an end game boss LOL.
Also I only have one weapon type so it's harder, if not impossible to "break" some enemies defence and you have to use creative boosting and workarounds to damage some foes. Fun stuff. Same problem as the demo though, the objective indicator is not there on the map screen so you end up wandering the game map hoping your next village is the one you are supposed to go to. Doesn't matter that much as the game maps are all condensed into mini diohrama like environments. Music is insanely good. Love the atmosphere.
I have it!
Lol that is so meta.
Started playing Octopath Traveller tonight and played for about 2 1/2 hours and loving it. I really dig the look of this game, the music is excellent, and the combat seems quite enjoyable. Started off with the warrior Oleric am now through the first boss and just beginning to start exploring the world.
Disregarding the politics of it all, it is pretty epic, and an amiibo would be perfect. But what would happen when you tap trump on you wii?
If one doesn't disregard the politics, given it's presumably a political statement, is it still epic?
And what is the significance of the phone he is holding?
Our president is addicted to Twitter. There has also been a lot of talk that his phone has never been properly secured or something to that regard. Supposedly it is vulnerable to hackers.
Made it to the Arlat area, it's sooooo good.
And I read a few reviews say that grinding was necessary but I think I know what they were doing wrong. When you approach a new map area a small message appears for a brief moment to tell you its danger level. I think some reviewers just weren't paying attention as you can just go somewhere else and do different stuff till you are naturally more powerful anyway. I started as Primrose then changed to H'annit as she's a badass - can summon and capture creatures, uses dual weapons too. Her speech is hilarious in battle too. Something about seeing these chibi characters fully voiced continues making me laugh or smile.
Your Wii U would erect a digital in game wall.
If you don't disregard the politics, imagine the Aussie prime minster arriving in the UK to find a giant inflatable balloon effigy of him as a grotesque baby. We are suppossed to be allies and if for instance our PM went to America and faced the same it would be considered highly rude. The only excuse I can think of is that - I also watch US tv shows like Seth Myes and they lampoon him as much if not more than a balloon.
The phone is so Trump can watch his Russian Pee Tape on a loop.
Man, Kingdom Hearts still has so much charm and magic after all these years. Loving the game, but those first couple hours are definitely a pain in the ass. It also has that old school PS2 era design of not being very clear on where exactly you're going at all times. But the characters, story, and general combat/level design is still great.
Can't wait to polish it off and play Kingdom Hearts 2 for the first time ever....never got around to it back in the day. Same for the handheld games.
Particularly Russian hackers.
That makes sense, thanks.
Exactly. If it's epic, that's precisely why IMO. It's not as if, I assume, it was released by the British government.
I went through both of them earlier this year, and yeah you are dead on about Kingdom Hearts 1. Overall that game has not aged well, and in particular the first half of it. The sequel holds up pretty well though, and I can only play through about half of it back in the day, so this was my first time getting to see the whole story. Definitely something you need to do.
On a related note, I couldn't do much with Chain of Memories or Birth by Sleep. I got through about 10 minutes in each of them before I hung it up.
OMG I finally realised why I love the combat in Octopath Traveler so much. Apart from the excellent mechanics, it echoes heavily of old school Fire Emblem, not in the movement and character placement, but in the different weapons to break an enemies defense. But also particularly for the epicness of the combat animations and sound effects. I used to love Fire Emblem GBA for that. When they started going pre-rendered 3D on DS and then shifted everything to 3D - and these developers just aren't that good at 3D graphics; it lost so much charm for me.
Octopath's 2.5D look is also amazing and hilarious. For instance I couldn't stop laughing/smiling when I was exploring a dark area and this tiny chibi sprite had a lantern and was casting real time lantern light on the environment. It's nostalgic in a way and yet the advanced graphical elements give it the feeling of a long lost classic.
Also came across the first boss battle which savaged me. Up until now I thought maybe the game wasn't going to get challenging at all, but that was ball busting - in a great way. I'm already relishing the chance of revenge on this guy.
What part of America is this filmed in?
Sweet William - Sky Lady feat. Jinmenusagi Itto & kiki vivi lily
The crossover stuff for Monster Hunter World and Final Fantasy XIV looks awesome. Love the Dragoon armour and the Behemoth beast looks very cool. The free update is coming to Monster Hunter World on August 2nd, can’t wait.
The shitty part.
First half was shit at the time. I gave up either in Wonderland or a jungle.
I got a Switch and its great. About to play Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
I came back here because I remember Dvader melting down about how terrible Nintendo's E3 2016 (or something was) because it was announced that they were going to release their next console in spring and thus the console would be doomed.
Now the thing is getting Wii-like sales.LMAO!
One of the site's forefathers.
Here's another prediction to potentially entice you back at some point in the future: the Switch will end up with a Wii-like quantity of shovelware!
