It seems like I managed to preorder a snes mini.
If anyone's interested, I might be able to preorder a second one, and as far as I can tell, they're the same all over the world.
So I've caught between a rock and a hard place with two games with no save points.
I want to do the Zelda Trials DLC but there is no save so you have to do all 50 levels in one go. I can use Switches sleep feature but it means I cannot play anything else until I die. It's not like Twilight Princess Cave of trials because its more tactical and you don't have any of your gear.
On Snake Pass I am on this long ass level with one impossible bit right near the end of the level and you cannot save and quit. I tried doing it multiple times for ages and I cannot do it. So I quit and now have to do the whole level again to get to the same point. This point is a complete rip too, as you are suspended over water so if you fall you have to go all the way back up.
So instead of progressing in either game I've been using the Zelda Korok mask and map tracking to find Koroks non-stop.
The trails are split into classes. You only do 10 floors at a time then get kicked out and have the option to start from the next one. It's like 30 minutes a pop.
I was one floor away from clearing a class.
I kinda feel a bit ripped off on BOTWs special outfits in the way that you can't enchance many of them so they have crappy defence stats.
I have a Dark Link outfit I can't enchance so never wear and all the special masks etc. Now this tingle gear and Phantom armour etc, cannot enchance.
That's why I haven't purchased the DLC. I might once the second serving lands, but this first batch just didn't seem substantial at all.
Don't forget that you pay for both at the same time and so get the end of year DLC as part of the price.
You also get the map feature, warp medallion and trials. I like the outfits, but I can't wear them without getting my ass kicked because of the low stats.
Just checked and you can't buy the DLC packs seperately... I'm still going to hold out untill I know more about the second, meatier, pack.
Gamesindustry quote vying for quote of the year:
To be clear, I'm not implying that Nintendo is about to abandon its deal with DeNA or stop working on mobile titles. The toothpaste is out of the tube and can't be squeezed back in
English isn't my mother tongue, but I haven't ever heard that saying before. Almost rivals my personal favorite: "they bounce like an upturned spalding delivery truck", which was written in regards to some DoA game or other.
I just sold my U and a bunch of accessories. I got $150 which I plan to use at Gamestop's buy two used, get one free. I aim to double dip and get zelda switch, horizon and re7. I also plan to use the leftover credit for splatoon 2
I've heard that toothpaste analogy before but yeah it's not exactly an all too often used expression.
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War director says no Switch plans now
“We have no Switch plans right now.” Why is that the case? “I don’t know all that went into that decision,”
However, when asked about whether the Switch’s processing power had anything to do with it, Roberts noted that, “I’m really not sure. I know that our tech team got it up and running on the Xbox One X dev kit within a day. I think that’s a big deal for us: how much work do we have to devote to supporting another console versus making the game better?
“I really don’t know to what degree if they got those kits, and decided it would be too much. Or they never got them because Warner Bros. didn’t want us to invest our time there. I have no idea. It could have been at a higher level at Monolith. It could have been down to the tech. Anything is possible.”
lol
Good to hear you're doing better. Keep that spirit high.
2 very interesting reads. Thanks GG
I can't see any Nintendo IP ever becoming a mobile only affair. As far as Nintendo's concerned, mobile game's prime purpose is to advertise their handheld and home console offerings.
I have put toothpaste back into the tube after squeezing too much out before.
