It's back! This weekend, I played a crap ton of Uncharted 4 multiplayer. Damn you Archie for not having a PS4.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
I played a good bit of Tekken 2 in the arcade, but not much more than that. However, in college a friend of mine rente d Tekken 2 and then returned it with a copy of Tekken 1, and got away with it. So... yeah that's pretty everything I've got on Tekken.
Leo! Are you around?
Hi
Hey!
You sit and play with motion control? I tried that, it does work but to do it properly you have to stand up. Being rather tired lately I just use button inputs. Works great, however I do think motion controllers have the advantage. You can move and punch with one arm at the same time if you keep one joycon leaning to either left or right. But button inputs make it easier to move and dodge. I see myself using buttons like 70% of the time in this game and they are essential for portable play anyway and work great.
I see what you mean about a single player brawler like that. For me it might be too exhausting to play given the depth of control and systems at play here. I prefer one on one battles. 4 player matches are insane and having a more traditional Ninja Gaiden style you'd be pummeled by all directions. What I really want is for Nintendo to do a full game with free movement of that Wii Sports resort game where you auto run through a level with full motion controlled sword.
So anyway did anyone watch the Kevin Bacon TV series the Following? Where a serial killer created this cult of serial killers who would randomly organise attacks by groups of people would go about stabbing people randomly? This is now real life, and kinda terrifying. The stories that have come out of this tragedy are toe curling. One man spoke of a woman these terrorists pinned down, shouted "For Allah" then stabbed her 10 times. She desperately pleaded for a man to help her saying "They're stabbing me" but there was nothing he could do.
Others spoke of seeing them slicing a womans throat in front of them. They had fake suicide vests on so people wouldn't challenge them. I have to go into central this week but given the election this week and the 3 attacks I genuinely don't feel safe on the tube network.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. I feel that it's the opposite. Every mistake you make in Splatoon is punished severely and you do have to be top of your game all match, every match or you get shitted on by experts or cheats with bubble shields. Or asshole omniscent snipers. I don't mind throwing a loose punch in Arms, but getting splatted in a Splatoon match can turn the whole battle. Also as part of a team I feel even more responsible for what I'm doing so I don't let the team down. What annoys me most is having the special on the right stick. So many times I've tried to do a quick 180 turn and its initiated my inkzooka or inkstrike and it's gotten me killed and we then lose the match.
But if there's one thing I want in Splatoon 2, it's to nix all the baby asshole Japanese playing with Splattershot Jrs and Bubbleshields. It's cheap as fuck and eventually I get so annoyed I start using it too just to punish them.
Played some more ARMS yesterday evening, and I started to be able to see patterns and tactics and whatnot. It made for a better game, even if I still lost most my matches. Twintelle is crazy though. You can both stun and freeze your opponent, and she can hover in the air, a position from which she can also do a second dodge that covers a lot of distance. You can jump, dodge left, hover, do a long distance dodge to any direction. It's insane, and I'm very happy I didn't fight anyone who seemed to have that nailed down. I didn't like the boss battle much though. It's just a hailstorm of arms everywhere obscuring your view. It's annoying when anyone grabs the boss, as everyone else's attacks will all of a sudden be hitting thin air, and he's just such a bullet sponge.
My prior view still stands though, it'll take a decent single player mode for me to buy this.
Custom boxes look cool.
Yes. Yes they do.
That reminds me to pick up Shantae next week. It'll be the perfect companion to take on our trip to Disneyland over the weekend.
I really wonder how well that Rabbids game will fare. With how much freedom Ubisoft seems to have had developing it, I fear it'll just end up feeling 'off'. Because really, most people will be getting this because it says Mario on the box, not Rabbids.
These are shots taken from Handheld mode, so lower resolution. But Switch captures screens from 1080p at 720p anyway.
I had a lot of trouble fighting against Twintelle. Not sure about her abilities so I didn't know what was happening.
I loved the boss battles. I was the last man standing in the first one and beat the boss but it felt like a team effort. The next two times we faced off against a level 6 boss and the timer ran out half the time. We couldn't beat him. What you are saying about the grabs, GAF has noticed. The grab animation slows things down and stops your teamates landing blows, so eventually people were realising not to grab him.
Did you have a chance to try the button controls? If on the big screen you need the joycon grip or it goes to motion control automatically.

EA seems to be gimping their Switch games again:
FIFA 18 comes out on 29th September 2017 on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, PS3 and Xbox 360, according to a press release issued today. EA notes "not all features available on all platforms", so expect the Switch version, for example, to work differently to the PS4 and Xbox One versions.
At the end of the trailer, below, is fine print that confirms unlike the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions, the Switch version of FIFA 18 does not run on the Frostbite game engine, nor does it include the Journey story mode.
That stuff in London sounds horrifying. Stay safe GG.
Pokémon direct tomorrow, people seem to think we are getting Pokémon stars, the sun moon upgrade for the switch. That would be a megaton.
Schedule for E3 Press Conferences!
I'm not watching that Devolver Digital press conference that is 1 AM EDT.
Bethesda is at Midnight for EDT; so I'm not watching that one live either.

Could someone with PS plus check to see if nba 2k16 is free? Never mind I see it was free on ps plus ages ago.
