The only reason that I would accept for the Final Fantasy VII Remake and Kingdom Hearts 3 lengthy development cycle is that they have been secretly working on a new Chrono game.

Did not like arms at all. The motion control system are messy, blocking was like guess work. I could never punch straight. I'm sure you can master this and have fun but then what. This party online mode was like ADD throwing you into random one round matches. There was a volleyball mode which was whatever too. I just don't see the depth.

Then after Wars she I got sick from my stomach and had diarrhea. So arms made me shit all night.

I'm the opposite. There's tons of depth which is why this random throw you into a fight online isn't the best way to experience the game. My biggest problem was with character movement. The speed was too slow, so eventually I learned how to keep dashing and your movement speed basically tripled. Motion controls were virtually perfect, blocking worked fine but obviously if they punched over you or by curling punches to the side they still hit you. I had a four player match where I was tethered to a team mate. Didn't like the movement restriction. Then did a 3 player brawl, so awesome. I let them fight it out and sniped from behind. Then when one died I moved in and took him out. Changing characters showed there's a lot of depth, different abilities there. The noodle girl has this delay in her attacks but they shot homing lasers. Then I tried the mummy and his punches were so heavy they blocked the enemies attack. Also tried Mechanica but couldn't get the float in mid-air thing to work. Game seems fun but I need a couple of hours with it to see what's possible. Good that there's more test hours coming. One tonight. Game seems promising, would be better if I could use a stick to move. Might try the button controls later.

Game plays much better with button controls but it's nowhere near as fun. I was playing in handheld mode. Then switched back to big screen and for some reason you can play about 30 seconds of a match with button controls before it auto switches to motion controls wtf? I also got more depth from the combat, started recharging my health, hiding behind objects to charge, using heavy arms to block etc
Very fun game.

I've only been able to play the ARMS tutorial yesterday, so impressions are very early.  Motion controls seemed spot on to me, nothing like Vader said.  As for movement, I'm not sure movement really is the correct term.  It's more about dodgeing and slowly creeping behind cover than really moving freely around the field.  It's much more like I assume actual boxing would be.

My son played part of the tutorial as well.  This concept was alien to him, and so he couldn't really wrap his head around it all.  Fighting to him is still just about flailing your arms around wildly as fast as you can, naturally he didn't fare well.  I'll be playing at least one testpunch today to see how it all works, but I'm not sure this is a game that will be able to keep my attention.  While the graphics have mass appeal, I think that the game itself is much more niche and I would be very surprised for it to make a splash akin of that of Splatoon or Mario Kart.

Yes I think the movement including the jumping is deliberately slow otherwise half your punches wouldn't connect. When using buttons its awesome to play, it's a proper fighter with depth, every character has special abilities and being able to choose different arms gives you different abilities. With motion the game is more fun and engaging but I find tilting for movement to feel quite restricting. However is you fully get into it and stand up to play there's immense satisfaction when you win a match. I also worked out that you can use motion to guide your punches like homing missiles after you've thrown your punches, very clever and very accurate. I think this game will be pretty successful overall, I might even buy it and I gave up on fighters pretty much after the PS2 era - SF4 aside. I want to see more involved stages where the layout and things moving affect the match.

Foolz, I saw you were plating Titan Souls.  I enjoyed it for what it was, but never intended to beat all the titans.  I liked his the quickfire nature of the fights allowed the dev to increase the pace and difficulty over the boss fights of Zelda, from which it so clearly takes inspiration.
