Man I sorta remember it, my family had it until 1992 though we stopped playing it after we got an NES.

We had a lot of games for it because we purchased it after the Crash of 1983 so they were practically giving the games away.

So I beat Owlboy. While the game is fantastic, it's too short. I'd say it needs to be a third longer.

Wait... that can't be right. The 2600 launched just a couple weeks after I was born. So if that's turning 40 next year... Well shit.

I just double checked it was released on September 11, 1977.

It was discontinued on January 1, 1992.

It was already 9 years old when I was born in 1986.

^ That's about in line with what you'd be paying for an Xbox one or PS4 slim.

Nintendo will need to be very carefull with it's marketing.  It'll be cheaper than the WiiU was on release, but more expensive than Wii and GC.  They'll really need to hammer home that it's a home console that you can take with you, because as a handheld that also plays on your TV, it's too expensive.

edit: unless, of course, they somehow manage to squeeze comparable power to that of an Xbone into the Switch.  But even if they do, Nintendo would need to aggressively market it as such, which they won't do, because who cares about power?

Epic Games founder protects 7000 acres via $15m donation Trump that

Is Trump against wildlife?

That's pretty cool of Sweeney. Protecting land is getting more and more important because just like with this case here, companies want to build literally anywhere they can with zero regard for what they destroy. Even around where I am if there's a small area of open land somewhere you know it's not going to stay that way long. Either some kind of business is going up there or a few houses. Unfortunately, there's too many of us humans on the planet. We're taking up too much space and resources. Human population has about tripled in the past few hundred years...if that continues, where do you put everybody other than Mars?

I just copied the subline from eurogamer.  It made me chuckle.  Nyaa  But I didn't check it, he might well be.  LOL

And it's not only the population that has grown exponentially, it's also our ecologic footprint.  I don't see the growth coming to a halt though.  Not unless some kind of birth restriction would be in place, or a system that pays people for euthanising themselves.  Which, honestly, wouldn't be a bad idea.

Punch-Out might not be beatable on the NES Classic Edtion though it is the same as an NES played on an HDTV.

Gamexplain tested Punch-Out on the NES Classic Edition, Playchoice 10, and Nintendo Entertainment System played on an HDTV.

The person playing could beat Punch-Out on the Playchoice 10; He beats Punch-Out every year to see if he can still do it.

He lost on the NES Classic Edition played on an HDTV because of input lag. He also lost on an NES played on an HDTV because of input lag.

They figured it was because of the TV they used they concluded that on an HDTV it is pretty much impossible to beat Mike Tyson/Mr. Dream in Punch-Out.

Yay! My Wii U is repaired and shipping back. Should be home on Friday just in time for me to play the new copy of..... well nothing really. Oh well, it'll be nice to have it anyway. I haven't been able to play Splatoon correctly since the control pad started to stick, so this will hopefully let me be a little competitive again. And who knows... maybe Nintendo will put out something impressive on the VC for Black Friday.

Hey now, there's that Rhythm Heaven super deluxe game. That's a pretty popular game for those without rhythm disabilities. That might be nifty right?

Well then I stand corrected good sir.

*Disclaimer. I know nothing of this game so I may or may not be being sarcastic.

Robio, you don't need to waste money on this Rhythm Heaven crap.  Fast Racing NEO is what you really need in your life.  Why do you keep resisting?

So no one has an opinion on the supposed Switch pricing?  Disappointing.
