They show a close up of a Splatoon team at the start of a match at the 3:15 mark. It's clearly above and beyond the visuals of the WiiU version.
Controller bits to communicate through bluetooth, not through some kind of port? Why else would the snap on controller feature 2 connection lights?

Better release a left side with a dpad for cheap.
Well, during the Mario segment they did show several amiibos next to the system. So it still looks like we have that worthless gimmick hanging around for one more generation
No word on touchscreen functionality, 3D or even motion controls.
That's just being mean.
Good thing the Pro Controller exists it has a traditional d-pad.

They should have just called it the Nintendo Vita. The aestethic fits in nicely with something Sony would make.
As for Skyrim, so it's getting a port of a 5 year old game? Woop-dee-doo. Would have been excited if it had been Witcher 3. Which should have been an option if this thing is indeed on par with PS4. Nintendo better come with some kind of spreadsheet to make it clear if there is a difference between playing with the thing plugged into the dock or not. A port of a 5 year old game running on it doesn't really tell us anything. As long as we don't know anything more, I'm just assuming that the chip's clock remains the same in portable and console mode.
Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer was short but it sure looks glorious. So pumped.

Because the characters had haircuts and one Inkling is wearing pants.

I am now considering passing up on the PS4 completely now and just waiting for this thing to arrive. I still need to find out what kind of software it's going to have before I go through with that, but that's a definite option now.
I don't care too much for the name 'Switch' for Nintendo's new system and no d-pad on the controller bothers me. I will get it for the Mario and Zelda games though which is pretty much why I buy any Nintendo system for the past several generations.

I'm happy that they are using cartridges for the games however this was pretty much confirmed for awhile now.
