Miyamoto talks about why they need to get Mario on phones:
;">So, similarly with Mario, what we’re looking at is simple game play, one-handed gameplay; shorter play time, playing in shorter bursts; and then really bringing the joy of Mario to that much larger audience."
That "much larger audience" is something that Miyamoto mentioned more than once — specifically in regards to upcoming generations of gamers.;"> If Mario is going to live forever (or at least longer than the rest of us), he’s going to have to be a part of the lives of people born well after the 1980s. Miyamoto noted that there was a point in time when "[Nintendo’s] hardware system was really the first device that kids would interact with, and that’s starting to shift." The first device kids interact with now, he says? Their parent’s smartphone. This notion of the smartphone "being the first place this kids are encountering games, is what helped us to decide to bring this to smartphones,;">" Miyamoto said.
So Nintendo knows, kids are not growing up on Nintendo anymore. They need kids to be playing Nintendo games, not other shit.
FYI: You can play Overwatch for free this weekend. 9th to 12th.
I could, but I simply don't want to.
Man, Overwatch is sooooooo good.
Can't wait to playing wait to play overwatch! I'm glad someone is making fun unique online shooters.
I absolutely love the graphical aesthetics of Blizzard games and the gameplay is always tight.
You too? Traitor!
I'm just messing with you. I am pretty sure I will be saying splatoon is the better game that no one is playing.
Shitty Sony is back. Now they won't allow mods on FO4 or Skyrim like Bethesda promised.
;">After months of discussion with Sony, we regret to say that while we have long been ready to offer mod support on PlayStation 4, Sony has informed us they will not approve user mods the way they should work: where users can do anything they want for either Fallout 4 or Skyrim Special Edition.
;">Like you, we are disappointed by Sony’s decision given the considerable time and effort we have put into this project, and the amount of time our fans have waited for mod support to arrive. We consider this an important initiative and we hope to find other ways user mods can be available for our PlayStation audience. However, until Sony will allow us to offer proper mod support for PS4, that content for Fallout 4 and Skyrim on PlayStation 4 will not be available.
;">We will provide an update if and when this situation changes.
Don't forget that Sony is also raising the price of PSN.
Sony's got your back bruh.

In the GAF NX thread, they are saying a bunch of journos (IGN and GameXplain included) have coincidentally announced they are going on vacation all at the same time.
Conspiracy theory is that they are flying out to some NX event now.
I just couldn't get into Overwatch last summer. I may download for this weekend, but it seemed to crazy and chaotic for my tastes. Uncharted 4 multiplayer is where it's at, GG.
The Food & Wine Festival is going on at EPCOT right now. They're probably all just going to that. It's the greatest thing they do at Disney World.
Tried Overwatch for a few hours. Its definetly fun and has insane levels of balance to have so many characters with so many different skills. Mechanics feel good, variety in the things you can do is huge so you should be able to find a niche. Problem is in the end its just another squad based shooter. Same objectives, same things that happen in every online shooter. Its just repetitive.
I say Splatoon is still the best online shooter this gen. That was original, the mechanics are unlike anything and its so fast paced and gratifing. That said Overwatch is clearly more deep and fits more the traditional online shooting template that so many love, but I dont so I tend to go for the alternative.
