I'm sure he is right, but Minecraft and Wii Sports aside how many games hang around on the top of the sales charts?
They won't have 15 billion more in the bank. Stock value doesn't translate into money in the bank, unless Nintendo decides to sell stocks for some extra cash. And even then, the numbers you're seeing now are only applicable if Nintendo would own 100% of stocks and would decide to sell them all. More likely, after half a year or so, stock value will slowly decrease and in a year or two Nintendo will be worth just as much as it was 2 weeks ago. they'll have earned some money off of micro transactions, but that's estimated to be $1.6 million a day. A far cry from the increase in market value.
True yes, but analysts are saying revenue from Go could "easily" earn a billion dollars a year. Nintendo won't get all that cash as it is split between Niantic, Pokemon company and themselves, but even so they own 33% of both companies so will get a larger cut overall. I think the share price boost is a confidence thing and Nintendo will be looking at how they can transition mobile players onto home consoles and dedicated handhelds. It gives Pokemon in general a boost if it can regenerate this interest. The movie rights look to be back on the agenda too, again raising the profile of the games and IP.
But people are investing not just because of one game, but looking at what Nintendo IP in general can do in terms of revenue. Pokemon is but one property, if they can make Fire Emblem to the same quality as the portable versions (and there is no reason why they can't) then the quality difference between it and Clash of Clans and all that other shit might given them more dominance in the mobile market.
What if Nintendo were to do a new Pokemon Stadium, have your mobile import your data to the new game on NX via your phone and bluetooth. It's that kind of thing that might entice more casual gamers to pick up a home console. Depends on just how much they are into whatever mobile title they are playing.
LMAO
Playing Zero Time Dilemma. It's a good game, but not as good as the other ones.
One of the site's forefathers.
BBC just said Nintendo stock price had increased 50% now.

$60 for a system with 30 games built in including Star Tropics.
It will be nostalgic for the games from my childhood but also give me an opportunity to play games I didn't get a chance to play when I was younger.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
It is still a good deal. Purchasing the games separate on the VC would be over $150 but you get 30 games for $60.
The controller can also be used as a Classic Controller on the Wii and Wii U.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
Oh I do so want that Nintendo Mini.
The Nintendo mini is a pretty sweet deal and in HD. Hey, I might play startropics for the first time.
Yes it's the first update posted today.
I kinda like it but it's the NES so I can't touch it. If it was a SNES mini though....
But anyway, we can play these games on the VC anyway so it seems kinda pointless. Might be good to get for the nephews but they can barely play Mario Kart with tilting FFS.
Can touch it? Is this a graphics obsession?
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
Now you're talking.
I want the mini for star tropics, never played it.
If my Facebook page is any indication, there's a ton of thirty-forty somethings dying to get the Mini.
