I am supidly excited about Skyrim remastered. The reasons for my stupidity are multiple. Firstly because I spent a lot of time into it as it was, secondly because I am going to buy whatever scraps of DLC I am still missing just to get that free upgrade, and thirdly because it is a bad RPG and I shouldn't be thinking of replaying it while I have stuff like Pillars, Divinity OS and whatnot in my backlog, begging me to be played. I love it, a fact that should call my RPG taste into question, and I believe it is a great action game, but that doesn't change the fact your decisions mean nothing and not a thing you ever do changes the outcome of events. In my eyes it was all about the journey there. And the fact you could do crazy shit with mods.
What a bore so far. Looking at Eurogamer's news coverage, it's all sequels and remasters. The only game with a 1 in it's name is Battlefield 1.
And yeah, EA had 'Fe', but that's from the guys who made 'stick it to the man', which wasn't bad, but certainly wasn't actually good either.
Pretty good advert. There's even some love for VR with a Widowmaker boob jiggle sim for the Vive. That's the future, right there. Not too sure it's a topic gamessites should be reporting on all too much, let alone making video compilations of.
Eurogamer's not-quite-E3 coverage has been a showcase of some first class snarkiness, even going by UK standards. It makes for an enjoyable read, but it begs the question how long E3 will be able to keep feigning relevance.

Yeah, it's basically the only place I go to myself. Although, since their editor Tom Bramwell left earlier this year (might be closer to a year ago now) as well as their top silliness writer Ellie Gibson, things have been going downhill. Much more video content, which I can't be arsed with, and a lot of articles lean heavily to blogposts these days. Still, they do the occasional great article and all the Digital Foundry stuff.
