Because there'll always be fools willing to spend that much.
That tech is so cool
Basically it's visual trickery. the big question is wether the test subjects experienced they were being tricked or not. Adjusting the trajectory of your arm is one thing, but I'd think you'd still be aware that you were being tricked.
Also, great job on the subtitle. MS codenaming tech after Agent Smith would be awesome on so many levels.
I guess the level of production that MS wanted would elevate production costs to that level and then they wouldn't be able to make a decent return.
Might want to clarify that it was a weak joke as he was referring to the Mario content headed to Minecraft for WiiU
Where does he say its a joke?
He doesn't. But he said everyone would get to see it that day, being yesterday. Clearly there was no NX reveal. What was revealed however, was Mario DLC for Minecraft on WiiU. It was a poor joke and a horrible grab for attention.
A great victory for reason over attention grabbery.
Just read the interview. What a prick that guy seems. Can't believe how many times I read how 'cool' it all is. I don't play any of these COD, Battlefield type games, and certainly don't read many interviews on them, but this disgusted me. Yes, we want to do a game set in WW1 because it was the genesis of modern warfare, it was important and what not. And then all of a sudden they're talking about how cool everything was, how you can kill someone with a shovel, how it's just another backdrop for their type of game,... They don't seem to care much about what WW1 was like, they just want to pillage it for all the cool weapons.
That Vive review is one of the worst things I have ever read. I don't like the launch games therefore everything sucks and it will never be good!!!!!!!!!!

| EA Will Bring Games to Nintendo NX 'If It Makes Sense'
You know what this says to me: "The NX is 10 months away and we haven't started making any games for it."
I do not agree with you. He's saying that it's a helluvalotta money for something that is, for the time being, a proof of concept and that by the time that there'll be enough games to validate VR as something more than a tech demo, you'll be able to buy better gear for less money. Makes perfect sense to me.
He also said you could feel the wires on your shoulder and that you get footprints all over the wires that are on your floor etc. And you need to set up either wall brackets or tripods LOL.
So. I haz Uncharted. Told myself: "You're not going to the midnight." "It would be stupid to lose sleep, wait up until 12AM, only to get it and not be able to play it because of the 5 gig update..." "You're not getting it and tiring yourself out to wait for the patch to download after midnight."
Without playing a single minute of Uncharted, I went to sleep at 1:49 last night after downloading the patch and my neck and back are so stiff and achey, I can't sit still long enough to play very much of it at all today...
I'm an idiot.
So, instead of playing Uncharted, I'm confined to bed, watching the Senran Kagura anime series on Funimation...
eh. I guess there are worse ways to pass time...
You didn't need the patch, that's just for multiplayer.
One of the site's forefathers.
"Nx is very much a product of the Iwata era of Nintendo" Oh boy....here we gooooo!!!!
EA : "We'll make games for NX if it makes sense" Oh mamma mia!
As crazy as Yamauchi could be, at least that guy had balls. Big ol' crazy Japanese nuts.
Then he needs it! We've got to have an Uncharted game night.
