I see how it is. Bandwagoners jumping aboard my negative feedback advocacy (I was all for reintroducing the minus button), and then acting as if it was their idea in the first place. It's Splatoon all over again! A big fuck you - to the both of you.
Why was the minus button disabled in the first place? I loved that option. I would also just like to have a more vulgar set of smiley's. Back in the day I used to post on Pantera's forum when their website had one, and they had some hilarious smiley's throwing up, middle finger's etc. I think that would fit in perfectly here.
Due to its potential for bullying. Decision was made, I think, following the forum's collective insanity; which was also when all the cool people got mod powers. I compromised and asked to be able to see who gave out pluses (I'm always curious), but even that was declined by Yoda.

This i don't understand. Why would you want or need to plug into anything? That would mean its a handheld basically, that doesn't rely on a main console to power games. I can't see something like that being cheap if its around current gen power. That would also mean the games store right onto the controller, which....yeah. Good luck getting giant games on there.
IDK...the more I think about this console the more it sounds like Nintendo's going to be in the same old situation as always. It'll have some neat features and decent support at first which quickly tapers off because its just too different and you're left with a Nintendo only console. And I don't know how many more times Nintendo can sustain a first party console.
So its Agnates fault that the button was removed.
No Mass Effect this year? Fucking cunts.
That would be great if Nintendo is funding Beyond Good & Evil, but they need to do this with more than one game per generation. This would be a great strategy to go balls deep into. Start getting 3rd-parties to give you exclusive rights to long dormant franchises that people want. Unfortunately BG&E wasn't very popular, so they would be wise to promote it almost like a new IP. 2003 was a LONG time ago...as crazy as it sounds.
You can't get it repaired?
You get this and not Splatoon?
Too much ganging up on people. I think if you disagree with something you should be bothered enough to post a reply not just spam a neg button. The anonymous nature of it too. It caused way too many arguments.
We still don't know if the NX is going to be in two parts or one hybrid system. But this time the home console should support playing the portable games too. That doubles the amount of Nintendo games that are availible and increases the number of 3rd party games. Is there going to be a cartridge slot or will there be essentially Definitive HD versions of these portable titles on NX?
I think if Wii U had something like Zelda ALBW or the Fire Emblem games in HD it would do nothing but good for the system.
I love this idea and don't see why we don't see more of it. It's happening right now in TV, I'm sitting here watching new X-Files and Heroes Reborn episodes years after the series ended. It has started with games but smaller scale kickstarter stuff mostly.
I wish that publishers just let people vote yearly on what older franchise games they wanted and made them.
I think Agnates caused most of the arguments. Not the minus button. I remember him flying off the handle one time when I said the PS Move controller worked like the Wii controller for RE as if I had just completely ruined his week. I may have used the minus button that time.
Yeah, they really need to start doing stuff like this. How cool would it be if say they funded a sequel to something niche like Bayonetta? Oh wait...
Agnates was around that early on?
I can, but that would mean sending it back to Microsoft, leaving me without a means of working for 2 weeks, paying €450 to have them send me back a refurbished model, and there's no telling what exact SKU I'll get. I'll just get whatever's lying around and nearest to my own.
I can spend another €270 and get a Surface 3 with a pen and typecover , or spend about double and get a Surface Pro 4. It's just more hasstle and includes the benefit of unboxing a new and shiny piece of tech.
I think Agnates was so used to being attacked by snarky assholes on GAF that he'd been conditioned to take everything as an insult. I think he would have bedded into this place pretty well once he realised we were more chilled in general around here. He was actually online during Euro hours and had some insightful posts. When I disagreed with the way he was replaying, I said so. Spamming the neg button was only adding fuel to the fire though. I've also been involved in some neg button controversy, it does nothing but stoke bad feelings and paranoia. It's been much more peaceful since that was gone.
I know, but I mean more and more and more of this. Like Shenmue 3, older games, more resurrections.
Why does it cost €450 to repair it?
Becaues MS doesn't sell replacement screens anymore, meaning they're your only option. And all they do is send you a refurb replacement, which may or may not have the same specs as the one you've sent in.

God that's insane, but at the same time it almost seems low. I remember the hoops I had to jump through when I tried to buy myself a copy of it back in 1998. eBay and a lot of other online gaming stores weren't set up yet. No brick and morter game stores had it in stock and at one store, Funcoland (which later became Gamestop), I got into an arguement with a clerk that told me the game never came out in America. Ultimately I found an obscure little auction website where a guy had a copy up for sale for $20. I offered him $40 to take it down right then and there, but he refused insisting the auction needed to run its course. Fortunately for me, no one else ever discovered it and I got a pretty quality used copy of it. Still, the idea of ever finding a new sealed copy of it back then, let alone today, boggled my mind.
Change in attitude happened a long time after neg button was gone. And plus button was then, and still is, just as convenient thing for people to gang up anonymously on others with. Someone posts something, someone disagrees, and one post has 50 pluses, and one 0. I don't see how that's better than one post having 25 negs, and one having 25 positives.
Good point. I agree.
Yes but now you get horse cock pics in place of a thumbs down. Is this advancement?
Yep. He wasn't around very long, but he didn't like me at all. It got to the point where any little innocent thing I posted he made it a point to reply and flame the shit out of me. LOL It reminded me of Gamespot. Like GG said though, he probably just didn't get my tongue in cheek nature.
